I tend not to leave bad reviews for food. I simply do not understand how this place has 4.8. All the people saying how good the BBQ is have clearly never had even decent BBQ. It barely qualified as smoked meat. The food was all mind-bogglingly bland. The brisket was grey and utterly flavorless. Like, use a rub or something...some salt at least. The Mac and cheese my daughter got was similarly unseasoned and generally flavorless. The al pastor tacos I got were not al pastor. It was flavorless pulled pork with a generic spicy sauce, that had no al pastor flavors. Absolutely nothing al pastor about it. My son's chicken legs were also flavorless and unseasoned. Even the chips had no salt. The beers were fine, but they need to seriously reconsider housing the barbeque kitchen, or maybe get someone who believes in flavor in the kitchen. Abysmal experience overall. Would absolutely...
Read moreWe didn't order food so we cannot comment on this, however we certainly can comment on their brew menus and their very dog friendly hospitality!..the beer menu is very ample with IPAs to red layers and wheat selections! Very hospitable staff in both Breckenridge and Fairplay! The beer menus are identical! Breckenridge is the older location of the 2 locations. Staff more than welcome behaved K9 friends in as some of the staff have their own K9 greeters t l welcome you in. Both locations are clean, great menus for food even though we did not choose to eat. The hospitality is so welcome, the bartenders as time allowed, are very friendly and willing to share life stories and more than give you a welcome feeling! Very highly recommended as a quick stop and as well as a place to grab some fresh cooked food as the menu was full of...
Read moreAverage beer for Colorado and HORRIBLE BBQ. If you just go for a brew and pinball you will be fine. The BBQ is embarrassingly atrocious. We ordered ribs, pulled pork, and sausage. The pork was ok, the sausage was good, but the ribs were a joke. Ordered a half-slab that came uncut and now I know why, not even the kitchen could separate the bones surrounded in dry overcooked rib jerky. The ribs arrived and we saw that they were not separated so I got a knife and COULD NOT cut them apart. The “pitmaster” (laughably) leaves the flap on the spare rack for some reason and then possibly smokes them and they come out very similarly to an oven roasted rib rack. Amateur hour unfortunately……… Drink the beer and eat the mac n cheese, other than that, you’ve...
