Wow! Wow! Wow! This was such a great experience. We stopped in on our way from Denver Metro to Durango and so glad we happened upon Robin’s. Upon entering the owner came up, greeted us, had us sit down and enjoy absolutely amazing coffee while taking our to go order. Bill was so friendly and really made our entire day bright. He shared about the business and town and food! We really loved the whole experience. The atmosphere is very friendly and open. Everything is well maintained, clean, and nicely decorated. They even sell little crochet animals that are done by a local woman in the community. We couldn’t help but buy a small ram!
We were lucky enough to have Robin herself cooking during our visit! We ordered a Rueben, a breakfast burrito with sausage, and green chili, and a children chicken finger lunch. O.M.G. The Rueben was out of this world! I’ve had Rueben’s all around the country and world and this was definitely in my top 5! What a surprise! The green chili was delicious. I personally don’t like green chili and I ate about half of my husbands it was so good! Everything is fresh, made from scratch, and just plain delicious!
The owner even spoke with us about some of the history of the green chili making and about where they source their meat and things. Really great quality!
They have a very nice and good selection on their menu and pricing is very reasonable.
I recommend stopping here if you’re passing through and definitely make this a regular spot if you’re a local. Our daughter hasn’t stopped talking about us stopping by on our way home!
Thank you Bill and Robin’s nest for a wonderful experience...
Read moreSO GOOD!! Stopped here while chasing the aspens turning and got there 10 minutes before close. Ordered the breakfast burrito and my kid got a skillet. Then Bill, the owner walked in, and introduced himself. Told us how everything was homemade. Told us he lived in Santa Fe for years and makes the green chili himself. I already ordered my burrito smothered, but he bought me an extra side of chili anyway. OMG…that green chili I think is the best I ever had!! Delicious, fresh, the perfect amount of heat (with a nice kick about 10 seconds I ) and perfectly sized chunks of pork. Really, really and unexpectedly good. My kid also loved the chili and she smothered it on her skillet. The potatoes were obviously hand cut and homemade. I then got an 3rd side of chili that I ate with a teaspoon. YUM!! And, very reasonably priced. You’ll be happy you found this place just like we are!! Will be back for sure!! Thanks Bill, and the new girl is...
Read moreMy husband, myself and our 3 year old son just tried to eat lunch here. We waited to be sat at a table which was fine, but they sat us at a tiny 2 person table against a wall even though there were several tables with 4 chairs avaliable. Then we sat there for almost 20 minutes waiting for our server and no one ever came. There were multiple servers there and they just kept looking at us and would walk passed us. Other customers came in after us and there orders were taken, but not ours. My poor little boy was starving and was almost crying. We finally gave up and left. On the way out I told one of the servers that we had been sitting there for 20 minutes and never got service and she just smiled shrugged and said "sorry" which she very obviously couldn't have cared less. Horrible awful service, definitely will never stop by...
