Update 8/6/23
I had another smoothie from Green Leaf! And this time, I was able to order a Mimi without the spinach. It was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! My friend also let me try hers before she downed it...and it was the Murphed, straight up...these smoothies are delicious! I can recommend either to anyone, really. If you don't like a listed ingredient, they can adjust it so that it's without that one. I love that they work with their customers to give them what they want/need.
I'll be back!
I ordered 'The Nani' smoothie. I don't eat/drink exotic things. I saw peaches and mangos and figured, SURE!!! That sounds tasty. What I received was chalky and had a bitter aftertaste. I looked up the menu again and noticed an odd ingredient, 'blue magik, E3live'. Sounds like bacteria...? What is it?...Blue Magik is from algae. If you look it up - you find things like this...
"Spirulina (and Blue Majik by association) has been known to cause nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea in some people, and can even make anxiety and insomnia worse."
Needless to say, I had about 2-4 tablespoons and tossed it. No thanks!
I give Green Leaf Kitchen 3 stars because I think if the smoothie did not have this 'blue magik' in it...I might have liked it quite a bit! I may return to hopefully redeem this from 3 stars to 5.
Lesson learned. Really look what's in the...
Read moreI can't get enough of Green Leaf! Between the prices of most meals around town, and the lack of healthy food, Lindsey has nailed BOTH! Her prices are absolutely fair and affordable (sometimes I go here twice a week!) The combination of flavors is to DIE FOR! I always order extra dressing because I can't get enough! I've tried all the lunch bowls and they all have their own unique vibes, I love them all but the Buddha bowl might have just won over my heart. Her Elixers are such a kick!!!! I feel so much better after drinking one! The Anti-Inflammatory is my favorite. I've only tried the protien smoothie but it's literally so mouth watering! The blueberry mixed with vanilla is chefs kiss I'll admit I haven't tried the Acai bowls yet but I know I will since the ingredients are to die for! I had a friend in town and we went two days in a row since she has a strict diet and Green Leaf could accomidate all of it! If you're seeking healthy and affordable food in Fairplay, don't miss out on...
Read moreWe ordered lunch from green leaf today and it was really delicious and fresh. When I looked in the food truck, it looked like all of the ingredients were organic that lined the walls, which is so important to me! We ordered the southwest bowl, Mykonos bowl with tofu, the Mimi smoothie and the nani smoothie. The total was $48.80 plus $4.34 tax ($53.14), not including the tip we left which pushed it over $60 for the meal, (a little expensive for us for lunch but I think it is worth it for a special lunch out. Of course, the price reflects the quality of ingredients and also the fact that some people may buy only a smoothie or only a bowl for lunch. If we had done this, the price would have been half - very reasonable). They had a few tables outside to sit at that looked sunny and nice. The location is convenient, too, near a lot of other places driving through Fairplay. I’d definitely stop in again. Check out my pictures of the food - looks like they came...
