⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Period.
I rarely leave reviews, but this place absolutely deserves it — especially after seeing an unfair one that does not reflect the heart or quality of this restaurant.
From the moment we walked in, we were treated with warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care. The restaurant was clean, inviting, and had a peaceful atmosphere that let the flavors speak for themselves — and wow, did they deliver.
We started with soup, and even something as simple as that was comforting and packed with flavor. The miso was perfectly balanced, and the egg drop was rich and satisfying — not overly salty, just fresh and made with care. (See photos — you can taste the comfort just looking at them.)
Next came the entrée — I ordered the beef stir-fry, and I have to say: the vegetables were cooked just right, the beef was tender and full of flavor, and the sauce had the perfect level of depth and spice. It’s rare to find food this fresh and well-prepared, with every bite offering something special.
We also had pho that was aromatic, rich, and beautifully presented. You could taste the hours that went into the broth — deep, layered, and comforting in all the right ways. Every herb, sprout, and slice of beef came together like a symphony in a bowl.
And then… the dessert. I’m still dreaming about it. The peanut butter cake with chocolate drizzle and ice cream was insane. Sweet, smooth, and decadent without being overwhelming. It was the perfect end to a perfect meal.
On top of all that, the staff was incredibly kind and professional. They explained everything clearly and made us feel welcome. I noticed how respectfully they treated larger groups too — the service charge policy is clearly posted and completely fair for the effort the staff puts in. Honestly, the level of hospitality and food quality here deserves nothing but praise.
Whether you’re a local or just passing through, do not miss out on this gem. Support businesses that actually care about what they serve and how they treat people.
To the owners and staff: thank you for such a beautiful experience. We’ll absolutely be back — and we’ll be...
Read moreWe, the people of average to below average income, have recognized that eating (ordering) out has gotten ridiculously expensive and especially so in small towns like where I live in Fairplay, Colorado. So, I feel that given the almost unjustifiable and exorbitant increase in the cost of “eating out,” the quality of the food should have become commensurately important.
I have eaten at Asian Fusion in Fairplay, Colorado many times, and it used to be a good deal with good food. Today’s lunch order was the final straw for me. I ordered the lunch sized Thai Basil Tofu for pick-up. I arrived at the restaurant in exactly 5 minutes to pick up my lunch, it was already bagged and waiting.
Well, my meal was terrible, simply terrible. It would have been terrible even if they only charged me 5 bucks. But I didn’t pay 5 bucks, I paid FIFTEEN DOLLARS (PLUS $2 TIP). I paid SEVENTEEN DOLLARS ($17) for a scoop of white rice that was positively reheated rice from who knows when, wilted veggies, and only three one-inch pieces of thin tofu. I don’t think I saw even one piece of basil in my Thai Basil Tofu. However, there were plenty of small celery and onion chunks to prop up the serving size appearance!
The reason this lunch was the “final straw” is because the last three times I’ve eaten in the restaurant, the quality of the food has increasingly disappointed me with each visit. The problems with my meals were the same as the problems with my lunch today.
I guess the owner or cook or both believe that, since Asian Fusion is the only eatery of its kind in Fairplay, they can serve paying customers terrible food without worry.
Well, I’m done. Too bad because the servers are...
Read moreLooked like a great restaurant. Menus looked good. Food we saw looked good. People were generally nice. But automatic 25% tip on parties of 5 or more is not acceptable. 20% I’ve seen before. I’ve never seen 25%. The manager claimed in Breckenridge and Aspen it’s 35%. But A) we’re not in Breckenridge or Aspen, B) presumably that was a high class steak house suit and tie dinner, not a roadside launch stop, C) she’s lying even still. We were offered an opportunity to leave if we weren’t on board with automatic 25% and we chose that option. 20% for 5 or more is totally standard (not reasonable but standard none the less). Unfortunate because 5 of us walked away from what would have been 30$/each (150$) plus a reasonable 20% top it 30$ tip. As she suggested, we went to the Mexican place, and tipped 30% on principal.
Edit: see attached screenshot for proof or evidence I guess. Because that’s what’s needed now in a series of children arguing on the internet. And your menu said 25%. We were very clear 20% is normal and common. 25% is not. So please don’t create a false narrative. Further, your comment that we should go to a Mexican place stank of outright racism. Please don’t tell me about acting appropriately. If you can’t afford to pay your staff, raise your prices. You’re not entitled to slave labor. You’re not entitled to anything. We left. We’re sharing our true experience. If you don’t like the truth, then change on your end. You can...
