I've been a US Cellular customer since 1996 as far as I remember. Started out with a bag phone then one of the first handheld phones. There was a few times that I was away from the service area for a short time, but always jumped back into the US Cellular family. I am currently with them in the Fort Bragg area of California. Now I have a problem with my phone where I can't plug in the phone to it's charger, causing major communication problems. I, just a few days ago, became unable to see through my left eye making it difficult to see one eyed at all. My phone will NOT plug into the charger cord. Something is stopping it from plugging in all the way. When I started to plug it in yesterday evening, it was charged at 38%. I need to make a call into my doctor office and obviously can NOT!! I am disabled and in an electric chargeable chair, and am in a pickle due to eye issues and can not get to the Boat Yard and US Cellular to find out why I can't plug it in or if it all can be charged!!! I could really use a bit of help here ASAP...
Read moreI had one nightmare after another with these guys. They mislead me as to data coverage by saying see, here is the map. What they do not tell you is you get a very few megabits when on the road even though you bought 6Gigs and then you pay extra for data when you are travelling. Wonderful surprise -- N OT. Very different than the maps from Verizon or ART&T, which actually are where they have coverage that is part of your plan without extra charge. Of course, you cannot cancel because you did not travel till you are out of the grace period. I gound out I am not the only one who got this kind of nasty surprise from these guys. When I went to Ukiah to the faculty store in frustration and asked for help, they told me you'd be amazed how much time we spend cleaning up messes from some of these "authorized agents". By the way - they did help. So if you really need US Cellular because that is the only coverage you can get, take the drive to Ukiah so you do not feel like you got ripped...
Read moreAbove and beyond is how I would like to start this review. I recently went into new trend wireless in the boatyard shopping center to upgrade an existing device, I was greeted by Chris Draper who is an agent there. After explaining my situation and reason for the visit Chris went above and beyond to help me. She listen to my specific needs and what I wanted to achieve.. Chris Draper was IMHO the epitome of how a customer should be treated by any customer service representative. I can't say enough of how efficient and effective she was dealing with my situation. Which involved a couple of phone calls to customer service and customer retention. Chris was awesome. having been a customer with US Cellular for 19 years on the coast I can't recommend them any more highly or the service that I have received at our local office. Chris is very skilled and I want to thank her...
