Curious to try their lunchtime buffet, we were pleased to see that they actually list on their website what they will be offering every day of the week - that shows REAL care and attention to detail. You can decide which day to go, based on what's on the buffet - a real plus. We went yesterday, and were pleased to see that there is someone serving at the buffet station, there is a a large plastic shield for hygiene/sanitation reasons (another big plus) - I immediately tried some of their chicken coconut soup (tom ka gai) - and WOW, let me tell you - it was absolutely amazing. It was boiling hot (another thing that most buffets lack - usually the food is warm, not hot) - so that's another HUGE plus - and the flavor was out of this world. One of the best tom ka gai's I've had in ages. I had some glass noodles (delicious), some of the sauce from the beef curry (I don't really eat beef) - and that was excellent - just enough spice so that you know it's a curry but not too hot that wimps like me don't enjoy it - great prawn crackers - two types of rice (white or brown) - everything was piping hot and absolutely delicious. Attentive service (refilling water glasses) - we were so impressed we actually sought out the manager and told him. It was EXCELLENT! aND $13.99 PER PERSON! Thai food is usually SO expensive that it is a really great deal - WE CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK! ...
Read moreI had an excellent meal and my waitress was very sweet and kind. I have been to Thailand before and the manager definitely gave me a first out of any restaurant.
I just came off a flight that was delayed after a long 36 hours with 2 hours rest. I needed food and I love Thai food so i found the best in area. The manager let me in at 9PM, I ordered quickly. I ate a little slow because I was tired and it was spicy, I didn’t want indigestion after all.
Now as it got to 10PM I had ordered 3 items and a drink. He then hinted (not so nicely) that he wanted to close and if I could pay and if I wanted a box for my pretty full soup.
I have been in the service industry (in some form) my whole life. My father is a Le Courdon Bleu Chef. The Thai people are some of the most hospitable nicest people in the world and he was the complete opposite in that moment. You never kick out a guest like that at any type of restaurant. I still tipped well as I rushed myself to eat and get out. I was just shocked and hope they don’t treat other people like that on a regular basis. Perhaps I seemed scruffy to him or poor because of my choice of clothes to travel in. Don’t judge a book by its cover. Part of an authentic Thai experience is the kind service and love they put into their...
Read moreOne of the oldest Thai restaurants in Ft Lauderdale. It's been open for over 40 years so you know they're doing something right. Amazing Thai street food!
This is different from other Asian fusion restaurants. They serve authentic street food that you probably haven't seen from other restaurants. I love their fried Golden Triangle made with chicken and a hint of curry. The Silver Bags are also to die for and the juicy Pork Thai Sticks. My favorite is the Roasted Pork on Egg Noodles. Noodles are handmade and you can tell when you pull them. And don't forget their soups. OMG. The way they make their broth is out of this world. Their Tom Yum Soup is probably the best I've ever had. Thick broth and very flavorful. Trust me, I've tried many and this is authentic AF. And of course, they also offer the staple desserts like the Mango Sticky Rice. Wow. I'm definitely obsessed.
This unassuming restaurant located in a shopping plaza is worth the detour. It's unique and unpretentious. Outstanding service and the food will keep you coming back for more. Also, it's not crowded so if you're looking for a dinner date that's chill,...
