Silver Seas Beach Club Resort — Hotel in Fort Lauderdale

Location and a very nice lady named Norma are the only 2 good things I'll say. Resort manager Carlos is a prick. He lied to mine and the wife's face. Called us liars. This was our 3rd time there. First time we did stuff we shouldn't of. 2nd time we paid a deposit and got the deposit back for being good. Thus 3rd time was horrible and won't be back. Carlos forgot about our second visit and posed a 300 deposit without letting me know. Then afew days later comes to us saying we are smoking in the room and such. We asked to go in and smell and he said no he knows what is going on. So we packed to leave. He didn't wanna inspect the room with us there. I made him. Soon as he goes in he smells and there's no odor. He goes to the bedroom, same thing. He grabs the quilt I was using and brings it to his nose to smell. Then says, this smells like weed you smoked in here. I told him it's on clothes and it's residual smell. If we smoked you'd smell it in the air. He so badly wanted to make a charge on us. All this is also on video. I have no problem posting to my YouTube channel if Carlos wants to say something to this. There is better options. This place is more for seniors who don't wanna be around kids. If your a young couple, don't go here. Find better. I can share more of the stuff on other past visits but won't. We spent our 50th wedding anniversary at Silver Seas Resort thanks to our cousin loaning her timeshare to us. The grounds, the room and the staff was a 10/10-- the room had everything could need. Perfect location. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping friendly, the housekeeper our last day ran out to our car before we left to return a pair of shoes I left behind. Being a little on the old side-we were having a little trouble getting our luggage in the car-Leo, a gounds keeper ran over and stored everything away for us--a big thank you again to Leo! The weather reports before we got to the resort said high chances of rain EVERY day the week we were to be there--wonderful luck there was only a tiny sprinkle that week! The beach pretty much is in the front yard. The waves were the calmest of any beach I have been to, they did not knock you down getting in and out of the water. I woke every morning to get a picture of each sunrise-they were beautiful. Great restaurants and souvenir shops all in easy walking distance. The resort was very peaceful at night-great nights sleep. I must say this trip was truly relaxing and much needed. Upon arrival after an early morning of travel we met Norma in the office who greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile. She was so sweet to us and made sure we were all set. She suggested local things for us to do. She answered every question with Grace and kindness. We never felt like we were a bother like some places you go the people act like they are doing a favor by giving you information. The night security was awesome. He made his rounds and made us feel safe and greeted us when we returned from dinner. I can’t say enough good things about the customer service experience we had. Everyday Norma made me smile with her sweet spirit. I wish there was a Norma in every place I go. The location is prime CVS is literally in the middle of the next block.
