Snooze Hotel — Hotel in Fort Lauderdale

Cockroaches -

The start of snooze started out great . It's nothing fancy but room looked clean and location is amazing . Night time is when issues started : Around 10 pm on our first night I got up to go to the washroom . I saw 3 small roaches in the bathroom . I killed two and took a photo of one just incase. I then called emergency line and let them know -they said there was nothing they could do tonight but I could talk to manager in morning .

When I was on the phone that's when we saw a larger roach come out of a crevice in the wall (between floor and wall) by our bed .This is when I really started freaking out . I called emergency line again after we packed up and told him we had to leave and he told me to leave keys in drop box and assured me they could figure it out in morning in terms of refund etc. We cleaned our stuff and packed up , all other hotels were so expensive because of spring break but at this point we just needed to go and I figured customer service has been good so far so they will help us with refund in morning. This is where the MAJOR problems started . The next morning manager called and said they will not refund me as they can fix problem by getting orkin to spray and orkin said no roaches. I don't know ANYONE who would want to go back to a hotel they just saw 4 roaches in ...especially when they were coming out of crevices in the wall near where we were sleeping . I pleaded if they could atleast refund most of it as we need to rebook hotels . They said they could refund half of one night . Later they refunded another small portion , in total 500 out of 2229 CAD was all for a hotel we didn't spend one night at.

Then they started saying the photos aren't from their hotel and the video I took of roach going back in wall was just a spot on the floor . Spots on the floor have legs? They also told me a story of another scammer (basically insinuating I was trying to scam them too). We were travelling from Canada ..why would we want this? It was so awful . I couldn't believe this was happening . I also saw in the days later that they had no vacancy-so what happened to our room.

So now not only are we out over 1700 Canadian then another 2500 Canadian booking hotels last minute but the stress of going back and forth with them being accused of lying and with no resolve on vacation was brutal .

Honestly my husband and I were and are just in shock over the handling of this situation . Not to offer a full refund in this scenario is ridiculous . I'm writing this review so other people don't have to experience this .

After this experience . I found another review stating there were roaches -I really wish I saw it before . I also wish I read the comments on reviews as I now see there is alot of gaslighting and blaming of customers .

I love supporting small businesses but in the case it is really not worth it . Please filter negative reviews first to save yourselves a lot of money and headaches.

Exceeded all expectations! 5 stars!

First off, I'd like to say that I am picky when it comes to hotels and kind of OCD about cleanliness lol - so this will be an in depth review of my honest experience.

My fiancè and I disembarked from our cruise early and we requested early check-in. The manager in the office was very accomodating. He told us that he would notify us once a room is available by text and he stored our luggage in a safe locked room so that we didn't have to lug it around. He offered a small discount if we paid in cash. He explained how the elevators worked and where each ammenity was. He also gave us information on nearby attractions, restaurants, and nightlife. We then walked to the nearby Starbucks to grab some coffee and by the time we were finished, the room was ready. The hotel offers complimentary beach towels, sunscreen, pool toys, etc. This was such a pleasant surprise! There is also a coke/drink vending machine which is reasonably priced and a free ice machine. There are 2 floors where you can sit to lounge. One was on the 2nd floor and then the terrace on the 5th floor. The views from the rooftop are immaculate. We watched sunrise from there and it was beautiful! There are cute sitting areas on the rooftop (shaded) and beach chairs. The location is also great. Everything you could need as a tourist is within walking distance. There is a CVS nearby if you need essentials and tons of bars and food options. Not to mention- the beach is right across the road! The room we had booked was the single queen. It was clean and had a cute beachy vibe. There was a microwave and refridgerator, a luggage rack, a small closet-like space to hang clothing, a desk and chair, and a safe. The added bonus to my delight (my fiancè snores) was a sound machine! The room remained a cool and comfortable temperature and the AC unit didn't blast super loudly. There is parking available onsite and its only $10, but we didn't end up getting a rental car because everything is right there. There are also a bunch of bikes you can rent for a couple hours nearby. Also want to add that we felt very safe during our stay. We were out late and never felt uneasy. The elevator has a secret code so no one except the customers can use it.

Overall, we would definitely stay here again. Location, customer service, cleanliness, and price...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional hospitality and service.

We stayed in a King Suite with a stunning ocean view, and let me tell you, the view alone made the trip worthwhile. Waking up to the sight of the sparkling blue waters was absolutely breathtaking.

One of the standout features of this hotel is the array of amenities provided to guests. Beach towels, sunscreen, coolers, ice, floaties, and even kids' beach toys were all available to borrow for the day. This made our beach outings hassle-free and enjoyable.

We arrived early, but the staff graciously allowed us to check in and even use the amenities before our room was ready. This thoughtful gesture allowed us to start enjoying our vacation right away.

I must give a special shoutout to Matt and Nick, who were exceptional hosts throughout our stay. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail made us feel truly welcomed and valued as guests.

The location of the hotel is unbeatable. It's far enough away from the spring break commotion in the evenings, so we were able to enjoy peaceful nights without being disturbed by loud music. Yet, it's still conveniently close to restaurants and shops, just a short 15-minute walk in either direction.

Being just across the street from the beach was incredibly convenient. We never had trouble finding a great spot to relax and soak up the sun.

Overall, our stay at this hotel exceeded all expectations. The combination of stunning ocean views, excellent amenities, friendly staff, and unbeatable location made it a truly unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect beach getaway.
