Read moreWe came for tortuga weekend - we came across this place on our way to the concert and it was so amazing we came back 3 more times!! On the final day we went for lunch around 1:30 and sat ourselves on the porch area to the right of the bar. Many servers walked past us and never brought us menus ... we finally were greeted by a gentle man who was less than thrilled to be there (had arm band and bottle opener on his arm) he never introduced himself and rushed us to ordering. We got a soda that was flat and I had to track him down to get another one. We then found a dead bug in our food and I met him at the service bar to let him know since my entire party was half way through eating and he was no where in sight. When I tried to get his attention he snapped at me "what" ... I told him what was wrong and he said "fk ... I'll be there in a minute" He came to the table "show me the bug" and took the food back to the kitchen. He offered to get us another one but at that point with the level of attitude and lack of service we declined.
I asked a girl server for the manager to which she never came. Then we asked our server for the manager and when she appeared there was anything less than remorse for what happened. Here's the kicker, grat. Is included on every check and I've never felt more okay with walking out on a tab than I did today. With 15 years in the service industry under my belt I've NEVER experienced this level of haste and rudeness in my life. She adjusted out check and then disappeared- she finally came back 10 minutes later and we cashed out. I would like to say we'll be back because our other experiences were incredible but with the lack of care from management it shows me that they are okay with their staff...
Read more1 star is the most applicable because ZERO stars isn’t an option I went in while my blood sugar was low so that I could order juice , get sugar, order food. I made the mistake of laying my head down for a second. I was scolded, told I could not do that because the owner is watching the cameras and would think I’m drunk. I would have to be refused service. I let the bartender know my situation. She said , “you’ll have to leave or I’ll cancel your order . There are paramedics outside If you need help” With my blood sugar low, it’s a little hard to communicate until I get sugar and food. So I tried to let her know that she’s not allowed to tell me that and she told me again she would cancel my order. Her attitude was disgusting , unprofessional, and unfathomable. On a tuesday at 3pm maybe you should check your staff and your schedule and HIPPA laws or “morals” upon your hiring process. I asked her if she knew what diabetes was and she replied about the owner watching the cameras so I said well please tell him to come here then . She continued to tell me I would have to leave the bar I begged her to be allowed to pay to receive the food and smoothie for the sugar . When I was finally able to communicate better (which takes 15-20 minutes) I said to her “I think that maybe you should be more aware about certain circumstances….” Which is where she cut me of to say “I don’t have to be aware of anything , I gave you everything you wanted …..” absolutely foul tuesday at 3:45 Congratulations to you...
