Surf Style — Local services in Fort Lauderdale

This is a neat shop and the prices are decent, but the service we received today at check out was anything but great from the cashier Rhea.

This was our second purchase at the store in 2 days and went to use our $5 off a $50 purchase coupon. We weren’t even done checking out. Rhea didn’t even know how we were going to pay and had already selected to pay by credit card.

We had the $5 coupon in our hand and was told that we should have said we were using the coupon before she had selected credit card. She was extremely rude and condescending. We will spend our money in other ways instead of coming back here.

Maybe she shouldn’t jump to conclusions on how a customer is paying and be more customer service oriented and friendly! Hopefully she will learn something from this post, but not...

We went in to get swimming trunks. Nobody was around. The place looked abandoned. I hollared out several times before a lady popped out and startled us. She appeared to have been sleeping. She growled at us asking what we needed. I told her i needed swimming trunks. She told me that they have some larger sizes on the clearence rack. I told her that the regular ones would be fine. She seemed rude. I got the idea she was a manager. Then she said i probably wouldnt find anything in my price range. At this point i had to hold back my wife from being rude back to her. We left unsatisfied. I recommend sensitivity training for this person. And to have some supervision. I will not be coming back. Btw. I now have the jingle memorized. This is a great location and a solidly good store. Most employees are great and you can tell the managers here want to keep a tidy store. Plenty of options from mens clothes , womens bathing suits to Fort Lauderdale niknacks and childrens toys.

The downside is the t shirts have nice graphics - but the graphics are on the back and not the front? Very counterintuitive in my opinion. Also, there seems to be just clutter of left over clothing in the store. Do they not have a storage in back to place this? Literally carts full of merchandise in...
