Cha has always been one of my go-to cafés because of the drinks and food there. I love the atmosphere of the café with its cozy decorations. The drinks are also at an affordable, decent price. I love the taro bun and the black forest ham sandwich as well. However, the customer service truly disappointed me and I do not think I would go to the café as often now. I am not sure who the person was, but I got humiliated at the café not once but twice. As a customer, I expected better of the customer service. It felt like that individual was letting out their anger on me because they were frustrated with OHAS opening up right across from them. They told me that me and my group of people were "taking up too much space" and that there were not enough seats for the other customers. However, it was obvious that we only took up space because there were no other customers looking for a seat, not to mention most people if not everyone from my group purchased a drink from the café. I would've appreciated it a lot more if that individual approached me with a more friendly and patient manner, but they were getting angry at me in front of everyone who was present there. Like mentioned, I did say I got humiliated twice. After the first time, I was incredibly embarrassed but I decided to give Cha another chance. As you can see, the customer service did not get better at all. It also felt targeted towards me. I hope that the customer service would become better in the future, but maybe that is only a...
Read moreFood? Great, I love the pastries. Drinks? Tasty, I love the teas. Service is where an issue comes up. I'm a high school student who regularly visits Cha Cafe & Bistro to work on school projects. In one situation, I met with my club to work on decorations for our school event. We purchased drinks and food as we worked on our decorations. Minutes after settling in, we were approached by an individual who told us that, 'We were scaring away the customers.'
To our surprise, we didn't know that we were a bother. From my point of view, we weren't that loud, we kept the area clean, and purchased goods. There wasn't additional information as to how 'we were scaring' people away.
I appreciated how the person came up to us to address the situation; however, I couldn't help but feel that we were being discriminated against because we were high school students looking for a suitable place to work on projects. I didn't appreciate how the conversation made us feel as if we were ignorant. We, as students, understand business rules and policies, but if we don't see a sign that states they don't allow students or similar, of course, we will not show up.
Evidently, I'm not able to speak for the majority, but we're more than happy to converse, only if the other party...
Read moreThe service is ridiculously slow. When I arrived, there were only 3 people ahead of me, but it still took 5-10 min just to place my order. Even after 20 minutes, I hadn’t received my food, and I noticed the 2 ladies in front of me were still waiting as well. I had to cancel my order since I was heading to the airport. So after total ~30 min, I left without even getting the pre-made cheesecake I ordered, despite asking if they could serve it before making the coffee.
On the positive side, they offer a large selection of food, and what I had the previous day (with a quicker, more efficient staff) was good.
Otherwise the they have a big food selection and what I had the day before (with a different and more agile...
