This School Isnât worth 15k! Save your money and go to Mint dentistry thatâs worth 3500 with everything included and youâll get an extern with them after your 6wks!!! I was a student here and held back so much but talking to FSA and telling them this program (RDA) I went to DID NOT show you real life UP TO DATE dental procedures and it was full of drama from instructors to trying to make class mates go against each, and more worried about being friends with them then instructors. It was horrible! I went in thinking I was REALLY LEARNING UP TO DATE DENTAL, nope. At that I had to find my own extern because the one that was given to me my instructor had the nerve to tell me I didnât know anything and wonât make it there. I guess the president and dean list I was on ever mod was BS and the instructors are just passing out grades..... that instructor had told me and the classmate she wanted to send to that office we should âBOTH GO AND FIGHT FOR THAT SPOT TO SEE WHO GETS ITâ. We both didnât go. Our friendship was worth more then that. Also leaving Concorde, I realized we werenât TAUGHT UP TO DATE DENTAL!!!! I should have seen a red flag when an upper that was out on extern came in our class and was there with our instructor showing her how and what the drs really use and how itâs different but they used less materials and then our instructor got mad and had a talk with him in the hallway. Later he had told us that at his dental office they donât do this like this and our instructor told him she was the teacher here. But I learned the hard way. The first dr I went to (extern) had to teach me all areas of ortho because I quote or instructor said âortho was boringâ and the other one said âit wasnât her profession of choiceâ so there was 1 week out of the whole school time we did that. At that she didnât teach ortho right! After extern I went to a general/ortho office and this is where I was convinced CONCORDE WAS BS! My dr put me thru a test on a basic exam to a filling to set up! I had pictures in my phone that our instructor would tell us to take on a proper set up, I had never been more embarrassed in my life! My dr said that was ridiculous! It was 2 trays with extra instruments that didnât have to be taken out, that was a waste of tools that the others drs in that office could have used but canât if this is how many we would bring out. I showed her all the pictures of every procedure set up and she said thatâs unexcusable of a teacher to show us that! She had told me to forget everything I had learned at Concorde and she would teach us. At that we were taught maybe 5 procedures wrong!!! It was two of us from Concorde. When my dr asked us if we knew how to do a root canal we said no, because our instructor didnât get that one on one with us because it was a lot of us in lab but we did see a video and finally sat down with us 8 on the last day on school!!!! The only thing good that came from that school at that time was the people I had met and we all still keep in touch but no! 15k is not worth that program. Also these reviews that are good is from the people that are still IN SCHOOL! They would take our whole class out to the computer lab and have us all leave a good review on the school!!! Now that I realize it thatâs a scam to people out here who go in with a open mind like I did. Now I understand all these bad reviews. Also graduation rate is high but EMPLOYMENT LEVEL IS LOW i only know 3 people out of the 30 classmates I went with who are actually working dental and they said the same they had to be taught by their drs ground up!!! So no 15k wasnt worth that program so...
Read morePLEASE, do not ever go or even attempt to go to this school. I beg you. They are nice to you once you sign up. From the campus president who is a liar and is only at the job for money and especially that dictator of a director of nursing, who is alcoholic that lady is a very manipulative liar and only cares about the money not the students but paying her school medical debts, she does not know how to run a VN Program. Please don't call the corporate office to complain because that lady in the corporate office in Kansas will agree with a student then she will turn around and throw the student under the bus. She only agrees with the school in whatever lies the campus president says and with whatever that horrible Director of Nursing says The Director of Nursing at Concorde which she is over both campuses the one in Dallas,Tx as well. The DON, has no heart and does not care about the student nurses but puts on a front in front of her co-workers. The Corporate Office will not help but agree with whatever the school says. The Regional Director he will not help but will say they do not have any staff that is why they keep who they have allowing them to cheat the students out of their money and career. They will wait until students get up into the 4th and 5th terms and kick them out on bogus exams and they alter with student grades especially the term 4 instructor which the DON hired her from being her teacher from the UTA over in Arlington, Tx. They do not teach material from the book but will give a student a short version from what they learned in RN school yet we were vocational nursing students. On my last day of the Vocational Nursing Program after 15 months in that program they switched the Hesi less than 3 mins of the original Hesi that was suppose to be administered which was a Hesi on nursing delegation, without any written notice or announcement causing me to fail the course. Please I beg any student do not go to this school they all work together at this campus if you ever go against them they will do everything to kick you out. Once they get you into that program oh yes they will let you continue but once you reach the 30,000 max they will do their best to get rid of you. Please do not go to this school or the one in Dallas because they operate the same way, And the only students of the LVN program that made it out are the ones writing and saying good reviews about Concorde in Grand Prairie are the ones who used Test Bank and online Quizlet and Discord which is a messenger app where they all passed exams around to each other. Please do not ever enroll into the vocational nursing program, I promise you will regret...
Read moreDENTAL STUDENTS PLEASE READ!!! I will be Concorde graduate next week and I can't say my entire experience was horrible but this school really needs improvement. First, you should be aware that you will be in class with students being on different module levels than you and depending on your start date you will not always start on module 1. For example, I was in the Dental program where they have 6 modules(4 weeks per module.) My start date luckily started on module 1 but the students that started the month after began on Module 2 so on and so forth. It was very irritating that every month we would spend a week back tracking instead of learning so we could get the newer students on our level because they are literally getting thrown "into the mix." And then the instructors will cram 4 weeks of work in 3 weeks time. While attending Concorde I had 3 different instructors (2 quit.) You should also be aware, that you will only "touch base" on procedures. The instructor will be more than happy to do one-on-one teaching with you before/after class or on a Saturday. The class is already 4 hours, 5xday and you're telling me to come in on Saturday to learn something you can teach me during regular class time? This goes back to everyone being on a different level and the teacher is literally begin pulled away from you because students need her for different reasons. Concorde likes to promote "small classes" WRONG, Concorde will throw any and everyone in one class that's willing to sign that dotted line. At one point we had 25 kids in my class. As far as externiship, you will do better finding one on your own. There are 4 of us graduating next Tuesday and I am the only one with an extern site and I found it on my own. The office manager I interviewed with said herself that she does not like Concorde because "they don't teach you anything." She told me "come to my office with a clear mind, because I will teach you the way Dr. __ likes things done." Now I would be lying if I said I didn't learn at Concorde. Concorde will teach you the basics and touch base on procedures and maybe more if you come in on a Saturday. Oh, and don't bother looking up a salary for a DA because you will hear over and over again "A dental assistant fresh out of school will only make about $10/hr." of course that decision is ultimately the Doctor's that you will work for but Concorde rather not get your hopes up. At the end of the day, I feel Concorde only cares about money and...
