I stayed in HOMER AK for one month and I was lucky enough to stay at the DRIFTWOOD INN. My room was similar to a small apartment or studio. it had a beautiful view and you could look comfortably at the mountains just outside the room. the room had everything you would ever want or need during your stay. It was very nicely decorated Extremely clean The owners take pride in the rooms they offer their guests The staff was very helpful. They answered all my questions and offered suggestions that were very helpful. HOMER is a wonderful place to visit in Alaska in fact I think it’s the best place in Ak to visit and stay for a while It has everything you could ever want nearby within walking distance Homer’s spit was memorable and so much fun The restaurants I frequented were very good with a diversified menu The one thing that stuck out the most was everyone is so friendly and hospitable My plane didn’t leave until later in the day and DRIFTWOOD and was kind enough to let me stay for a few hours longer which I thought was very considerate. I intend to visit HOMER again soon and I will definitely stay at the DRIFTWOOD INN without a doubt
If you want a perfect place to stay stay at The Driftwood Inn. I highly...
Read moreMy adult children and my Grandchildren gathered in Alaska to Celebrate my Husband's life on the one year anniversary of his passing. He loved his many years of fishing for halibut & salmon in the waters surrounding Homer. Our Group had a very successful day catching halibut on Bobs Charter, bringing home 28. Found out later that Driftwood also offers great charter trips. We stayed at the Seaside for a week. Everything was clean and we were instantly comfortable there. Great space to grill and there were sturdy new outside tables & chairs where we could ALL fit. There was a bathroom for every bedroom and that sure helped with our crowd. Plenty of towels were provided. We had 7 children under 12. We could hose off their arms & legs outside. There's a big area to drop all the sandy sandals or muddy shorts outside. Cleaning up after playing on the beaches at low tide, was easier than we thought. Our Kids loved the huge backyard where we had kickball games with all the adults and kids participating. They had a microphone and performed in the arbor. There were Cornhole games on site we set up & used. We were conveniently within walking distance to great pizza and good steaks & seafood. We Loved our...
Read moreThe Driftwook Inn RV park offers a unique blend of natural beauty and convenient amenities, making it a great spot for RV travelers.
The RV sites are little narrow but they come with lovely views of the surrounding landscape. More suitable for smaller RV's but we managed to stay 4 days in a class A, no problem.
One of the highlights of Driftwood Inn is its fantastic location. It’s just a short walk from the beautiful shores of Kachemak Bay and close to the charming shops and restaurants in Homer. Make sure you eat at Captain Patties Fish House.
There’s plenty to do in the area, from hiking and fishing to kayaking and wildlife viewing. The nearby Homer Spit is a must-visit, offering stunning views and opportunities for adventure. This is where our kids caught their very fist salmon. It was an awesome experience, partly because we were fishing in broad daylight at 11:00pm.
We highly recommend it for anyone looking to explore the...
