This will have been one of the worst experiences Ive had in a hotel. I go to check in on Friday 12/29/2017, I brought my mom along and the woman checking us in mentioned that because she had a service dog they were going to probably charge me a $75 fee. Not cool. I planned this weekend as a get away for my kids during the break to keep them busy. The pool was shut down and drained and so was the spa... So now we are stuck in the room. We head to the room and tell my oldest to take a shower, we turn the water on and it would not heat up. After about 10 min of still being cold I called and spoke to reception, they told me I have to turn the water on very slowly to heat up. I told her that it was running for 10 min an barley warm. She switched us to a room that I am assuming was not going to be used anytime soon because the temperature inside was 54 degrees, she said the warm water worked but you had to put the knob on cold if you wanted hot and on hot if you wanted cold. I start reading through the book for guests of all the complimentary features, one of which was a role away bed. I called to ask for one and she told me she did not know where to find the beds and would call her manager to find out. She calls me back about 30 minutes later and says they are a fire hazard and we are not able to have one, but they havent updated the guest room guide because it needs to go through corporate. GREAT! Later that night we went to bed and in the middle of the night the smoke alarms go off in the hallways for what felt like an eternity, waking up my kids and myself. The next morning nobody could explain what had happened because night shift was gone. The day we go to check out, my daughter and myself went to get in the elevator to go upstairs and the button in the elevator would not push. The doors shut and we were stuck. I pressed almost every button before the elevator started to go up, we stopped on the wrong floor. It was because someone else on another floor called for the elevator. Luckily it was housekeeping we told them what was going on and they literally started hitting the button to to our floor til the light came on. They laughed it off and said the buttons always get stuck, but in my opinion at that point before it started moving I did not find humor and in fact was scared. We expressed multiple concerns to the front desk. Nobody seemed to be concerned or card. Nobody offered comps or a rescheduled night. Needless to say I paid for this crappy hotel and I...
Read moreThe room when we first entered in smelled like sewer bad the bathroom smelled like sewer the most, the smell eventually after 10 minutes or so went away! Breakfast was good for the most part but all they had except the Today the day we were leaving to head home was Skim Milk! They kept things (Eggs and Sausage) stocked up pretty well! Had to ask for more coffee once but they were busy doing something else and they stopped what they were doing and put some more out! They had bacon one day and pork sausage one day so that was a plus!! Juice selections could be better but looked ok! The Hot Tub was BROKEN once again!!! The first time we stayed they were treating it but it was still useable , and we had no problems the next time , then the next time the bubble jet thing was broken and it took about an hour to get the water to get warm and not luke warm! Last time it supposedly had a leak in it but was usuable and now this time it had a crack in it and has not been fully working and usuable since September of 2018! 6 MONTHS LATER AND IT IS STILL BROKEN!! We choose this hotel because it is one of the newest hotels if not the newest hotel in Hutchison and it has a Hot Tub!! Unfortunately the hot tub was broken and the person who was behind the front desk said she was sorry! It would have been nice to have a note on the door or have been told that it was broken! Figured it was since there was Caution tape and Orange Cones around it and no water in it, but still it would have been nice to have been told that when checking in or have a sign on the door saying it was broken! The pull out sofa bed and two Televisions were a huge plus! Otherwise it was a very good stay!! We will most likely stay hear again in the...
Read moreThe front desk lady told me the manager would be calling me this week to discuss compensation on a terrible Saturday night stay at your Hutchinson Fairfield Inn. I however have not heard anything from you?!
We arrived around 6pm to the Saturday evening shift woman looking very frantic stating their is no internet in the building and she cant electronically check me in just yet. She would have to photocopy my DL and CC and add it to her stack to check me in at a later time and call me down. She did give us a 2nd floor room but never got a call to "officially" check in
The room was at 73 degrees when we got it. We went to dinner and Hutch CC bball game and got back around11pm. In that time the room only got to 70 degrees. Even though i set it on 51 degrees when we left?!?!?!?!?!
As it was late we attempted to go to sleep and hoped it would cool off. The ac was blowing cold air but very very weak.
My mom wife and 6 month old son were all in room. We tried to sleep but my we just couldn't. I walked to front desk at 4am to complain. The woman attendant at 4am was nice and gave a fan for us and said she'll make a report and when we check out they'll be able to provide unknown compensation for the uncomfortable night.
We checked out at noon and there was a another woman running the desk. She said she seen the 4am note but wasn't able to provide any type of compensation. Only a manager could do that. A manager would call me to stand behind their 100% gurantee of satisfaction. It's Thursday night and i haven't heard anything?!?!?!?!
I am still waiting to...
