Abelardos Mexican Fresh — Restaurant in Hutchinson

I'm giving this 2 stars because the service was great, and portions were awesome. I've never had such bland, flavorless Mexican food in my life. First time i got the carne asada, simple staple, hard to mess up, great way to gauge Mexican restaurants. Cold, stale, flavorless. I decided then to never go back. Today i decided to try a breakfast burrito, thinking maybe that will be the saving grace. It's actually impressive that you baggage to make BACON have no flavor. Inundated with potatoes with no flavor, barely any bacon, and a tiny sprinkle of cheese.

Here's some seasoning i need you to try. They're ok to use on everything. Salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, CUMIN, (can't believe i have to tell a Mexican restaurant to use cumin...), Chili powder. I know it's crazy to think that people want flavor, it is Kansas after all, but i promise you that if you just put a good amount of each, you'll be pleasantly surprised. Flavor is not the enemy. Seasoning is your friend.

Great Food but horrible consumer experience!!! Which is why the 1 star...This could have been, should have been a 5 star experience! Went through the drive through and one of the items I ordered was a carnitas taco, price listed at 2.89. I wad charged 3.99. When I went in to ask for a 1.10 refund, i was told that there pricing strip was stolen so they wouldn't be able to refund a dollar. I explained they need to replace the pricing but in the meantime they need to charge advertised price. They said if I didnt want the taco they could refund the taco but not the $1.10. Where is the logic in that. They are willing to lose $3.99 and eat the food cost, but not willing to redund $1.10. There was no manager to speak with. I did not want to argue so that took my number for a manager or the owner to call me...

I ordered 2 carnitas tacos from this place today and they were soaked in pork grease. I have a video of the rendered pork fat literally dripping from my taco. However…I still attempted to eat the artery clogging mess when... I bite into something strange. It was kinda grisly like but... Nothing I've ever seen on any cut of pork I've ever encountered. 🤢I called the restaurant and informed them of my experience and... I was told that the tacos were fine when they gave them to me.🤯I don't know which was worse... the terrible, greasy, mystery meat tacos or.... the horrible customer service. If I had to choose... I'd say the tacos. I've been vomiting amongst other things since about a half hour to an hour after consumption. 🤮 I would not...
