I came to metro coffee while traveling through Kansas. I was drawn by their vegan burrito option and since the people I was traveling with weren’t vegan, they could get the normal option. The barista was super accommodating and even double checked with me when I forgot to sub almond milk in my coffee. I would’ve been disappointed if I got it with dairy. Not only was the barista super helpful and friendly, but the coffee and breakfast burrito were amazing. I do have to say, this is the best coffee I have had to date. It was just the way I like it! The ONLY thing I’m disappointed about was the fact I didn’t get a large. I loved the environment too, but I did have to get it to go. All around, metro coffee is absolutely awesome. If I’m back in the Hutchinson area I will definitely be coming back to metro coffee. Thanks for the awesome and accommodating breakfast!!! Also-I enjoyed the fact they were enforcing masks until you sat down. Awesome for people with health issues like me who need...
Read moreThe only complaint that I have is that they are not open late everyday. The atmosphere is great.
Parking is exceptional for the area and right next to two other great businesses. I will have to say I truly don't understand the low stars in any of these reviews. Contrary to popular belief independently owned and operated companies are not owned by millionaires and the polices of no outside food/drink is intentional to ensure that they get the revenue necessary to remain open.
As for the other poor reviews such as hair or poorly made drinks. Ofcourse hair is not acceptable and I'm sure they would also agree but I've never had an issue asking for a remake so like... Ask for a remake politely?
The only thing I will say is that the music at 8 is pretty loud to announce closing. I didn't find that upsetting. I found it comical. It assisted in a clearing out for sure lol.
Marsha and the other managers and workers are wonderful....
Read moreI just want to communicate my experience and speak to the extreme stance the Metro took on masking during Covid. Going so far as to treat those not wearing a mask as if they were lepers and refusing service based upon this alone. Upon arriving one Saturday some kid with a man bun literally yelled at me and my family, in front of a line of customers, and then proceeded to kick me out of the store right as we were walking in. Due to no mask. Not only was that unnecessary, but embarrassing. Despite not being sick, not being exposed to anyone who was sick, etc.
My family of 5 used to get coffee here every Saturday morning and our bill was around $40 each visit. That’s $160 a month and roughly $1900 a year that goes to Scuttlebutts now. I hope you understand the economic impact of treating your customers as if they are the problem, and also hope those reading this choose to spend their...
