Let me start by saying our waitress Abigail was amazing. She was sweet, kinda, and attentive. She interacted with our little one and helped her choose her juice. However, the “unit manager” Harrison, was well…I’m at a loss of words to be honest. He was very loud, abrasive, and rude to his team members. My jaw dropped when he started loudly telling the waitress everything she did wrong in front of the entire restaurant. Customers and staff included. He said he wasn’t going to “penalize” her this time, whatever the heck that’s supposed to mean. He then proceeds to tell her and the other waitress that they need to always just come get him for large tickets. Maybe if you trained your servers correctly, took the time to explain every thing to them, and didn’t treat them horribly, you wouldn’t have such a high turnover. If I was ever talked to the way he was antagonizing her, I would have handed him my apron and never returned. He had this, I’m better than you and if you don’t do as I say then you’re in big trouble missy, attitude about him. Nauseating to be honest. On top of that, the servers have to take their hard earned tips and put it into the digital jukebox to have any kind of reprieve of Harrison’s belittling. All those girls deserve better and it breaks my heart to witness them dealing with that. Serving is a difficult enough job. Not having support from you manager makes it 10x harder. As a business manager myself, I would hire Abigail immediately and have her a part of my team. She has a good heart and...
Read moreMy wife and I ordered steak and eggs. Steak was paper thin, quite chewy, and the liquid that ran out was more "grey" than blood red, making the scrambled eggs look ugly. The eggs tasted ok, but looked nasty. They have us each others meat (her medium well and mine medium rare). Also ordered Alice's Iced Tea-melonade. I took 2 sips and there was no lemonade type taste. There were 6 employees there at 9:45 pm who were more interested in talking to one another about one Male employee going to the nearby Walmart to buy some card games. E tremely unprofessional. When I checked out, a waitress asked how everything was (I will guarantee that is required). I told her that it was just "fair at best", to which she handed me the slip to sign, turned around and began talking again to the other employees that were still there. Never once what was wrong, did not wait to hear any explaination or to take my charge slip. I had to find a secure spot to place the slip and her pen. Extremely poor customet service by everyone. AND it was a $30 bill. In my opinion, worth less than...
Read moreGenerally reliable for breakfast food, but expect everything to be wrong if you make special requests. Ordered the All-Star with eggs over medium well, dry wheat toast, scattered hash browns, waffle, bacon and coffee.
The eggs were medium at best with the yolks as runny as an over easy egg--this is always an issue at this particular Waffle House--the hash browns had been cooked in a round and were still white--no brown at all. The wheat toast was heavily buttered. The bacon was uncooked fat on one end and far too crisp on the other. The waffle failed to arrive within the three minutes it took for me to decide to call it a wash and ask for the check for the coffee--which was actually the highpoint of my visit.
The waitress was kind and patient as I explained the errors with my order and she offered to make it right, but I elected to leave and have breakfast at another diner. She didn't charge me for the coffee. I didn't have cash or I would have left a tip since this clearly...
