If I could give this hotel zero stars I would. The service is horrible the room is well not any better then a super 8 or motel 6. My husband and I came here for our honeymoon we were in love with the pictures on line of cozy fireplaces, the rustic decor an amazing view of the Teton mountains. This was not what we got .instead we were placed in a room overlooking the garage, with no fireplace or cozy comfy chairs nothing at all about this room was romantic at all . My husband talked to the front desk and was told there was nothing they could do about the room and that the room we thought we had booked was rented about an hour before we arrived. Now mind you we booked weeks in advance through priceline. We mentioned this to the front desk and were told there was nothing they could do because they were fully booked. We decided to stay anyways the first night the bed was so worn out you could feel every lump and spring. We informed the front desk and had the mattress changed đ´ which was a horrible decision on my part the bed we received was so hard the floor was more comfortable which is where my husband slept that night and I in the chair. Now let me remind you this hotel was booked for a week in what they say was their off season months.Since the months of November and April are âoff seasonâ for the hotel and the parks, the hotel shuts down services in the hotel. The restaurant is not operational and doesnât serve except for breakfast , which is a cold grab and go.The bar is closed and you cannot get a drink. I am not a fan of this and youâd think the hotel would try and supplement in some fashion, like have a gift shop with a cooler that alcoholic beverages can still be bought since the bar is closed down. But they donât and the place is essentially just a ghost town with as much to offer as a motel 6 or super 8. If you are newly weds of just looking for a romantic get away I would not recommend coming to the lodge at Wyoming find another place especially during...
Read moreThis would have been five stars if it wasnât for the experience with one of the front desk clerks and the bed. She snapped at us when we had questions during check in and I let it go thinking maybe she was just having a bad day then upon checkout she again got an attitude with my mother in law. Further we found out she gave us incorrect information reference fees. All the other people we had any contact with was so nice and helpful. As for the bed it wasnât very comfortable and I woke up with a back ache every morning. Side note to the bed is I have a tempur-pedic bed so I am spoiled in reference to that. I did love the pillows though!
I loved this room so so much. It was so cozy and wonderful. It had a really cute window seat and the sitting area was great. In so many hotels there is one chair or its in an odd place or just uncomfortable but these were set up for a conversation area and they were comfortable!! If they sold these chairs I would buy one! Thereâs nothing crappier than coming back from a long day and only having a bed to sit in so I was so glad to have the sitting area. The king bedroom also had two separate counters and sinks so it was nice if my husband was taking a shower I still could get ready at the other vanity area.
The restaurant at the hotel, Whistling Grizzly, was also great. We ate breakfast there twice and everyone in our group enjoyed it. You canât go wrong with any of the choices. The orange juice is real freshly squeezed juice. I say this because my husband hated it because it had so much pulp, on the other hand I loved it.
Overall this was a great place to stay and we would definitely consider...
Read more5 night stay on a small couple vacation. The staff has been pleasant, knowledgeable, and attentive. We came to see Yellowstone, unfortunately in our mistake turns out Yellowstone is closed for November and pretty much the town is too. But thatâs where the staff here shined. They made a lot of recommendations and suggestions of places to go instead; providing maps, fliers, and restaurant lists.
The room is very clean and cozy. We got a king with a fireplace. The fireplace could use some maintenance as some of the tiles above, the grout is dried out and crumbling, meaning the tile will assuredly fall off soon. The bed is comfy. Itâs definitely broken in and you can feel the spots of where people lay, but itâs not worn out and isnât uncomfortable.

I recommend staying here, but I do not recommend making your stay in the months of November or April. Everything is dead pretty much and finding things to do is not easy. Great place, great staff, great rooms, horrible...
