Food was very good, minus the portion sizes. Our party of 4 all left still hungry. You’ve got problems when your carrot cake slice is larger than your steak, tenderloin, trout, and salmon. Also they charge $220 for a tomahawk. Incredibly overpriced.
Second, not sure if the waiter was judging us since we were all young, but the man with a man bun and mustache provided incredibly slow service. I don’t know if he thought he was going to get a poor tip but he never introduced himself or his name, rarely returned to check on us, and never asked if we needed anymore drinks. We all felt he had ignored us the entire meal and when we needed something like utensils or a straw it took forever to get it. There’s no reason we should be at a restaurant for 2 hours, since it’s far from fine dining, but that’s how slow he was. Took 15 mins just to get a menu, 10-15 for drinks, food took a while, and then bringing us the bill took 15-20 mins, so long that we stacked our plates so he could see we were finished. Also, lack of staff is not an excuse since only 5 tables were seated and there were at least 3-4 waiters walking around.
Good food, but that’s about it. Double your portions. Offer better service. None of us plan to return.
It also shows that this restaurant takes a lack of responsibility. Their manager Jason seems to constantly push blame on those who leave a bad review. Service too slow? His response is you’re not patient. Steak is bad? That’s your fault because you didn’t tell us. Breakfast took too long? Jackson is the busiest during this time and everyone is having staffing issues.
It’s incredibly unprofessional and repulsive. All I can hope is patrons and customers see...
Read moreWe got the chance finally to get in with some friends for dinner last night and had the special Rib eye and market special king salmon. I have worked in fine dining (several steak houses well as other cuisines) I am a picky customer for sure and this place did not disappoint. Our server (John Paul) was so attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. He didn't miss a beat and was able to answer all our inquiries about the menu items. The timing on our courses was perfect and we were never left with empty glasses to look around for assistance. The steak was executed to perfection and the Salmon had a lovely crispy skin while the body remained moist and tender. The desert (chocolate torte) I have to admit missed the mark and seemed like a glorified brownie, while being topped with a fresh whipped cream and fruits it didn't possess the wow factor that the rest of the meal did, I have also been a professional Baker for years and have to say this portion of the meal could use some work. At $13 it just left us feeling they could've done more there. But otherwise I'd say we left satisfied and will definitely be visiting this...
Read moreNope. Not for breakfast. I saw the stellar reviews, but it must be for the dinner. Breakfast is a nightmare. Too many hotel guests cramming into a seat yourself eating area, people in and out of the lobby and it’s just slow and disorganized.
If you read in line you can get a box lunch in 30 minutes - nope. They changed it to an hour. We inquired about boxed lunches and they then said it would be three hours at least. For a turkey sandwich? No thanks.
Guests were annoyed. The table next to us waited forty minutes and left before their meal came in frustration. When the restaurant cleared out by 8:30am the food delivery perked up and wow was it underwhelming.
Generic. Not worth coming here and the toast was burnt deep black kn one side. I had to find my server and hand her the toast for some new pieces. But if I waited it never would have happened. No refills on water or coffee by the way.
So no clue about dinner, but no need to come here...
