So I have been eating here for lunch for a while, I work about a block away, come by at least once a week. I bring this up simply to say that I suppose I could be considered a "loyal customer", and while I would say that they can be rude, and are always eager to short you on ingredients (you can literally watch them as they try to work out how little they can get away with putting on the sandwich), I overlooked these things for the sake of convenience. However, on my latest visit I came in with a coupon that my boss had hung up on the bulletin board at work, I didn't look, but it was expired. I walk in with it in hand and Raj (I think that's his name), made some smarmy comment like "oh you bring coupons do you?" And before even asking what food I wanted, he demanded to see the coupon, and gleefully pointed out it was expired. The coupon was any 6 inch for 3.49, the sandwich I get is usually 6 bucks, he hands it back with a real "go f**k your self" look on his face. Now, I suppose maybe I'm acting entitled here, I didn't look to see if it was expired - figured since my boss put it out, it was still good, but I guess I was shocked that my weekly patronage wasn't worth extending me the courtesy of accepting an expired coupon. I guess that 2.50 the coupon would have saved me was too much for them, loyalty be damned. So I won't be returning here, period, they can keep the 2.50, and in return I'll use the 360 dollars minimum I spend there yearly on a business that appreciates the little courtesies they can afford to loyal customers. I will also be dissuading all of my co-workers from spending here. Cheers to your petty 2.50 Raj! Hope you...
Read moreI went here for lunch with coworkers. I was shorted a single cookie. Mostly no big deal, but I've heard others explain they were shorted cookies before too, or that they had put on much less meat than they do at other stores. I'd never experienced this so I Ma de a special trip back to this store to get the cookie that I originally paid for and was shorted, PLUS the cookie that I earned for filling out the survey.
The same man was there and told me, "No, I am sure I gave you the cookie." He offered me one single cookie (the survey cookie). I was not there begging for a free cookie, so to make my point I politely told him he could keep it, and told him to have a good day.
I returned to my car to fill out a report online to the corporate headquarters and realized that he had kept my receipt. When I went back in he reiterated that he was for certain he made no mistake but "here, have some cookies!" and offered me three or four. At that point I was pretty mad so I just told him "no thank you" and left WITH my receipt.
I will no longer eat at this chain in this city, until I can make certain I do not give money to the stores owned by this particular franchisee. That's very disappointing because my family really enjoys subway and it will be a significant inconvenience for us.
And so we are clear, it's not...
Read moreOrdered 3 beast sandwiches and the lady stop making my food to make other customers food. Took me 15 min to get my food when other customers after me received their food in less than 5 min.
Not sure if it was because I'm black and the other customers were white. I didn't like the service I received and thought about walking out but was extremely hungry and tired of riding around trying to find a restaurant that wasn't crowded. I will never visit this location ever again. FYI the lady was the only person in the restaurant working. She had to make the food and do the cash register. I think atleast two workers should be required to work...
