Baymont by Wyndham Jonesboro — Hotel in Jonesboro

When we stayed there we asked for a room with 2 bed's and a pull out sofa bed, when we got to our room (after we had paid for our room) we got 1 bed, 1 chair, 1 pull out sofa. Went down to talk with them and found out that the girl must of misunderstood what we meant. She told us that they don't have any rooms like that, so we told her never mind we would make do with what we had. My sister n law told them that we needed sheets for the pull out sofa (which had a really bad stain on it, might have been blood not sure, it was dark). They never brought us sheets so she went down stairs to ask for the sheets and the lady at the desk said hold on just a minute while she grabbed them, The lady at the desk wouldn't even take them to our room, she made us wait there while she grabbed them. My sister n law was also upset that they didn't offer to even make the bed for us, I'm not sure if that is something that hotels do. The next morning we went down stairs for breakfast. I decided to have a bagel, found mold spots on my bagel, then I took another bagel, and another mold spot, I went through 4 bagels and found mold on them. I went to the front desk told her and asked her if I could throw away the bagels that had the mold and she just said, oh yeah go ahead, if I was the hotel worker, wouldn't you want to go look at the rest of the food to make sure there where no mold spots on your food. I went up to my room and told my family don't eat the bagels that it had mold spots on them, so my sister n law decided to eat some white bread, it to had mold spots on it, she came back to the room and told us that she was going to just go get something to eat. Was woken out of my sleep by a knock at the door before 9:20 am and checkout was at 12pm. When I did not respond - I was not feeling well and stayed up too late -the housekeeper- found out later it was the general manager- was opening up my door.

I was in my sleep attire and I got up out the bed and opened the door to find out the reason I was woken out of my sleep before 10am -reason given by the lady who opened my door - because people check out early and other house keepers would be here until 9pm - which is strange because the hotel was not booked up - barely any cars there- and no one can check in before 3pm unless you pay for an early check in.

I tried to call to front desk because I was upset- never had that happen to me- the phone in the room did not work - no dial tone -and had the wrong room number on it. I used my cell phone to call the front desk in regards to what just happened to me.

I went down stairs - closer to checkout time and when I was talking to the front desk person she asked if I still wanted to talk to the manager - I said yes and that’s when I found out it was the general manager who tried to open my door and the excuse given- about it being their policy and that people always Check out early and they check rooms- thing is people run errands and come back before check out time too , and the other housekeepers would be there until working until “9pm” if they had to wait until it was close to check out time - was not a good reason to try to come in the room and wake me up for a room I paid for until 12 pm...@ 11am I could and would have understood… but before...

I DO NOT RECOMMEND! SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE. Looks like its a hotel used for illicit activities in the winter months. Gross! Absolutely a waste of money. Very disgusting! We got in late around 1am so we had been driving all day from Branson Missouri to Memphis Tennessee back to Missouri. Decided to stop and get some sleep. First room wasn't clean at all so they moved us to a "deluxe" room. It was worse and smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. We should have just slept in our car. I can't believe we even paid money to stay in this place. The pictures will show ya just how gross it was. Very disappointed because we are rewards members with Wyndham but this place needs to be shut down. It's so nasty. The rooms were not cleaned at all! I used to clean resorts ans hotels for a living this is disgraceful. Clearly this place needs a redo ans new management. The manager of this place should be embarrassed. Almost $100 i cannot get back. Coffee pots were not cleaned and had stuff in the part that takes the water. Hair and crumbs in the "clean" bed. Mold, and burn marks all over everything. dirty floors and toilets. Years of dust on the ceiling fan. Ashes in the dresser. Crusty yuck in the bathtub. Broken lamps. Mold in the ice machine. No vending machines .. can't even call the breakfast that. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. Like maybe 10 channels on their paper "guide" but only 2 channels actually worked. So much more I DO...
