If zero stars was an option… I would have gone with that! I have never written a bad review before but this was awful.

Starting with the good, I have taken CCW classes before a few times in the past and educationally I did learn a handful of things. The instructor was fine (could have been better but also could have been worse) and told a ton of stories. The couches were also fairly comfortable. I picked this class solely based on scheduling which did end up being fairly convenient.

For the bad, the classroom space was absolutely disgusting! There was dirt and debris swept into the corner next to the bathroom just hanging out, dirty dishes and empty cups/ cans scattered around everywhere. Others in the class also commented on this. Generally dirty and unprofessional. I don’t have super high standards to cleanliness but my standard is above this.

The information on the website regarding the private range is deceptive at best. The range is not onsite but is instead just down the road (not a big deal but was a surprise). The range was nice and clean and has a nice store (they also host CCW classes) but was not the promised private range. It also appeared that the range time was not scheduled in advance but rather arranged after we arrived. Again unprofessional.

Don’t go expecting to be able to rent a gun for the qualification shoot as that is not an option. This was all issue for someone in the class and he ended up borrowing a fellow student’s gun.

The website promised coffee and donuts and these were never produced or offered. Not a big deal but on top of everything else, unprofessional.

Nephi is an awesome instructor. Very welcoming and friendly. As there were a number of people in the classroom, Nephi was great with communicating with the class as a whole and also addressing each person in the class individually. Want to measure your grip strength and dial in your shoot stance, you'll get it. He welcomed all questions and shared some interesting life learning stories as well. Nephi , was to the point and jovial, he teaches from life lessons and truly wants each and every person attending his class to avoid conflict. His methods for deterrence(keeping you out of danger) are worthy of an entirely separate class. I would definitely recommend Vegas CCW to anyone I know interested in personal safety and the safety of their family. As a bonus Michael, Nephi's range instructor was patient, informative with lots of fun to talk to about anything safety and personal protection.
