Sapphire by the Sea — Hotel in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea

I had such a great experience at this cute hotel in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. The first impression when we got into our room was that it was clean and everything was brand new, and the basket with waters and snacks was a nice touch. The manager told us they are renovating each room and installing all new finishes. The color scheme and decor are modern, but still beachy. I loved my swim in the pool. The shallow end is very short and the deep end is 6 ft, so you can get a good swim workout in. One morning we walked the two short blocks to the beach for a swim. So awesome and easy to walk to quickly. The cute little downtown area with all the shops and restaurants is maybe 4 blocks away. Again, it was an easy walk. There is also a nice park right down the street. Since there is a kitchen in the room, the Publix shopping center two blocks away is also worth mentioning. It is a great little hotel. Lovely little place. Close to shopping food and beach. Rooms are nice, but need some maintenance. Draw fronts falling off 3 of the 4 drawers I used. I never had a hot shower, though it was not an overall issue, just my room. Someone screwed up the shower. Had a good sized fridge, microwave, 2 burner hotplate, toaster, and blender! Cups plates glasses silverware. I only ate out once! Though there are plenty of places TO eat out and the one I went to was great and right on the beach. My husband & I visited Sapphire by the Sea for a group New Year's trip with 10 other people. The size of the rooms, along with the variety, provided something for everyone. Mobile check-in & payments were a breeze. Our group was able to hang by the pool during the day, enjoying the sunshine & gill available onsite. Publix & the liquor store were a mere 3 blocks from the hotel. Having these resources so close also made Sapphire by the Sea a budget-friendly option!
