My husband and I had our first visit to your establishment on Friday, January 17th, 2025 at approximately 8:15 AM.
We entered the restaurant and sat at the counter. There was one other gentleman at the counter and another individual ordering take-out.
We were greeted by Cheryl who was an absolute gem. She got us coffees and water. I would have had no reason not to think she she was my waitress and would be taking my food order.
Over time, the restaurant was filling up so, so prevent a wait, I caught Cheryl’s eye and said that I was ready to order. Another woman, northern accent, somewhat stout, brown hair pulled back if I recall, had her back to me, writing something and answered curtly, “I’ll be right with you” without turning around. I apologized for assuming Cheryl would be taking my order.
The woman who had her back to me left from behind the counter and went over to a table of four who had come in after me. I thought to myself that perhaps the waitress didn’t realize I was before this group. After taking four orders she returned to behind the counter and proceeded to continue her paperwork and then butter some rolls. She busied herself for the next few minutes, clearly ignoring me. It was obvious to me she was purposefully doing whatever else she could besides asking for my order.
Finally, she turned to me. I asked very quietly why she had been ignoring me. She snapped, “I was at Publix”. I asked what did that have to do with me? I told her I was before the party of four and had been waiting for an uncomfortable amount of time for someone to take my order.
She snapped again, “I’m not going to stand here while you talk rudely to me” and again, turned her back to me. Cheryl witnessed this entire exchanged and it was totally unwarranted. By now, it was about 8:30 AM.
My husband, who had left to get cash, would have been very inconvenienced if I had stood up and left the restaurant as I wanted to do. So I stayed.
She took my order and poor Cheryl took it upon herself to be overly considerate to us to make up for how uncomfortable the situation was. She is the very best thing about your restaurant; what an incredible asset.
I am not in the habit of writing poor reviews online. I do want to say that this woman was very, very rude, not at all welcoming and treated me very poorly. She was an extremely negative representation of your establishment; this situation bothered me enough to write about it all these days later.
*This review was originally sent directly to the establishment and I asked for an acknowledgement and received none. I tried to email but the email listed is not functioning. Only as a last resort did I submit this...

This is an all female run family owned local business that actually knows the phase the customer is always right.
We were greeted by the owner whose grandfather owned it and she carries the torch. The workers are so pleasant and cheerful. It reminds me of Ozone Park Quuens NY where these type of small cafe/diners exist and i am used to.
I remember having egg sandwiches at Fruges Bakery in Ozone Park and hae never been able to find a perfect egg sandwich since. Well today I did and I cannot wait to come back.
We found this place on Groupon which was a great way to advertise and how we found it. The prices we perfect given you are 1 block to the beach. The only draw back is you have to pay to park and there is plenty of parking. BUT it is worth it.
The atmosphere was a throw back to the 50's style diners. The oldest employee is 82 and she moves better than me. All the women run it like a well-oiled machine.
They all make you feel important and welcomed and they all constantly ask you if you are ok.
To say I was impressed is putting it mildly.
This is a must go to place not for anything else but to witness how a real old-fashioned diner should run and how people should be treated.
Best croissants i have ever had. They take pride in their work, food presentation, and the quality.
I cannot say enough that this is a...
