THE FOOD WAS MOUTHWATERING! WE COULD NOT GET ENOUGH. Especially popular were the forest mushroom pasta, tomato/mozzarella salad, beet pasta, sweet potato dishes, and gorgeous pizzas. I heard great reviews and, honestly, the reality exceeded everyone's expectations. NOTE - this is a Kosher dairy establishment, so there are no meat products. For the people confused by this - the restaurant is within walking distance of many Jewish synagogues and residential areas - and it's wonderful to have a Kosher place between La Brea and Pico!
THANK YOU TO MADELA - your delightful restaurant was the perfect venue to celebrate my birthday. We had 18 very happy ladies and were very impressed with the generous and accurate service. MOSHE, and the owner's brother (so sorry I didn't catch your name) treated us with so much kindness and wanted me to feel special! To make sure our large party was feasible on a weeknight, I had called ahead a few times since they don't take reservations, and Kim & Israel on the phone were very excited to welcome us, even though no reservations were possible. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT WEEKENDS WOULD PROBABLY BE A LOT BUSIER.
Upon arrival, we were touched to see that the restaurant had made some prep by moving tables together on the patio so we could sit down altogether. The little flower boxes lined the patio perimeter and Moshe told me to stack all my gifts under them so my things wouldn't be on the floor. Minor but thoughtful touches really made us feel so accommodated.
I strategically chose MadeLA so all my guests from different walks of life could have the privacy of ordering what they felt they could afford without feeling social pressure or worrying about splitting the overall bill, as large parties often require people to overpay or under-eat :p MadeLA's quick and discreet ordering system made it super easy. The prices were fantastic compared to other kosher restaurants I had considered and the portions were satisfying!
Please visit this restaurant over and over - their menu is fresh and exciting, and we need amazing venues like this to enrich our city's...
Read moreThis is not just another kosher pizza joint. I've been here 3 times since they've opened and will most definitely be going back soon. They are super consistent, very high quality and affordable. Every time I've been here I've ordered something different and have been extremely happy every time. These guys do a great job on both the pizza and pasta. I've tried 2 of the pizzas so far and was very happy with both of them. Really nice flavor and texture on both varieties I tried. And not to detract from the pizza in any way but for me, the real show stopper is the pasta. I've tried 4 pasta dishes so far and they are sizable, packed with flavor, and not to mention, al dente every time, all of which are hard to find at this price. I can't overstate how much I like this place. It's simply on another level. 10/10...
Read moreTried a new Kosher spot in town recently for an early dinner, and I was seriously impressed! I had the Fungi Pizza and the new “The Greek by Madela” salad—both were absolutely delicious. I loved that the menu had pictures of each dish (I definitely eat with my eyes first lol), which made choosing even more fun. The ambiance transported me straight to Greece—super charming and relaxing. On top of that, the staff was very warm and so kind. Also great location! Definitely...
