It was...ok. pretty much like panda express. Except slower. Wayyy slower. For that, they lose a star. And the Jesus music playing in the store was another star lost. For those reasons, they only get 2 stars. There was also a strange smell when you walk in. And it wasn't food related. Seriously, people don't want Christian music playing while they are out and about. Tacky. Maybe it's a corporate policy or something, I plan on letting them know in any event. Also, there was a candle burning right when you walk in on top of the trash area. SUPER DANGEROUS. that has violation written all over it. This owner's excuse for all the slow reviews was "they were busy." Well, here's an idea, adjust accordingly.
In response to the owner- I'm not sure what your business model is, but you are not what I would call a high end restaurant. And the candle wasn't placed on the table. It was on top of the trash bin, in front of advertising brochures. If someone wanted to grab one of those brochures, they might end up burning themselves. Your store is in a strip mall (that's not what I consider high end) and the candle was scented to cover up what??? All you smell when you walk in is teriyaki and some foul sewage smell. If you are going for some high end ambiance, maybe get rid of the TV that had football on, and the fountain machine. And the stickers in front of the counter, that refer to Jesus, makes me think the spotify music is done on purpose. Two things you should leave out of business: politics and religion. Some people don't want religion all around them when eating their rice bowl.
Update 12/9/19 this was the response I received from corporate (at least they were in agreeance with the issues and told the owner to comply): Hi Brook!
We are SO sorry we didn’t get back to you! We were actually pretty alarmed by your post and your note and immediately talked to the franchisee to tell him he must take away the scented candles and Christian music. We actually went further to remind all of our shop owners of our holiday policy (non-denominational decorations are ok, and holiday music that might be on a mainstream radio station, but absolutely nothing religious). We reacted immediately, but failed to get back to you!
Thank you for letting us know! It has been taken care of and is not approved by us (doesn’t fit our brand voice/personality and we also believe that although we respect peoples’ personal religious beliefs, they have no place in our restaurants).
Thank you!

Read moreMy wife and I went to this place for lunch yesterday. We have passed by it a few times and I have been pretty excited for it -- I love teriyaki. I had waited to try this restaurant for a while. When we entered the restaurant there only appeared to be two people working, and for a fast casual restaurant, it was not very fast. We eventually placed our orders, and sat down. The tables were clean, and the restaurant was clean, however, it was very cold, like they didn't have the heat on. When we got our food, it looks fairly well presented, but it was all very plain. Everything tasted good, but it seemed like it was missing something huge, because it was incredibly plain. It was also expensive for what it was. I had the teriyaki chicken with fried rice, and pasta salad.
I had thought that the pasta salad was going to be some fried pan noodles or something, but it was like a pasta salad from a church potluck. Perhaps I overhyped it and expected too much in my head, and ruined the experience for myself. The chicken was also very plain. Like I said, it tasted good, but it seemed like it was missing something. The fried rice was also very plain. It was brown rice with peas and carrots in it, and not much else. It was a bit disappointing. The crab rangoon also seemed like it didn't have any crab in it.
Don't overpay for this, go to another chinese restaurant for much cheaper, or go to pei wei for...
Read moreToday I visited Teriyaki Madness for the umpteenth time. I was rather irritated that the cashier gave me one punch for my two dinners. When questioned she stated 'one punch per day.' In my many visits, 10 minimum, I have never experienced that and asked to speak with a manager. A gentleman steps from behind the grill and states that is correct and then produces a sign, buried behind several other signs in a stand on his counter. I stated that I had no problem playing by the rules as long as I know what they are. How was I supposed to know about one punch when the sign was covered. He politely shook his head and said yes, but...Well I'm just saying that if you want me to play by your rules, please let me know what they are. Then I can decide whether or not I want to play.
Side note, after I had received my order he approached me (I was still sitting there typing) and asked if we were good? Well of course we are...it's not like I'm going to cause a scene. I just know that an informed shopper is an educated shopper. Please keep that signage posted.
Side, side note...He was the owner. He approached me again and offered a second punch because he wanted me to be totally happy with my visit. I graciously declined stating I wanted no more than the next customer and that wasn't my point.
I'm gonna go enjoy my Teriyaki Madness now. Next time I'll be fully aware of the rules of...
