We gave this place over 20 chances. Overall 2 stars. I don't recommend the pho special. It claims to have 3 types of meat. Brisket, steak, and meatballs. The meatballs tasted like boiled rubber. The steak was questionable. I'm not convinced that was even beef. The brisket was missing. The chicken pho seems to be poached chewy meat. I recently had pho in Chicago and I had true soft chicken breast. It also cost less than this place. Sometimes you get a lot of broth sometimes you get less. Some days they have all the herbs some days herbs aren't available. It is painful to ask for extra napkins, forks, spoons or get water refills so bring your own. The worker/owner has an attitude when you ask questions about the food. The rice noodles disintegrate when you take home your left overs.
We called about eating at 730 - they were closing early. Another time we pulled up at 7 on a Monday and they were closed already.
The only positive worthy of 2 stars is that my husband likes the stewed beef and carrots pho.
Stingy service, tables aren't really wiped down, bad attitude, randomly closing early, skimping on portions, overpriced for the amount, should have more protein portion - paying 19 dollars for broth herbs and a quarter cup of...
Read moreWay higher prices then other places with larger portions. But I order beef pho and extra meat balls. Before I order I asked will it be in a separate container I was told yes, I ask would meat be in broth she answered yes on the side. I staed to her ik make sure irs in the side. Ok I was given 3 meat balls slice very thin not in a separate container which is what you normally get just not sliced extra thin. When I asked the cashier where was the extra meat container she told me all meat was in main container. I reminded her she said it would be the side then proceeded to check the order open trey and ask this extra meat. She didn't respon . I paid 4 dollars and wasn't given anything. Will 4 dollars break me nope not at alk but if pay for something you should get it and the manner you were told you would receive it. I didnt argue just left. Try llittle Saigon, or Pho Que Huong Restaurant better priced, taste and size and customized options. And for their prices pay at special oho you get oxtails pho from Que Huong Restaurant all in same are worth the travel I'm closer to pho special but...
Read moreTook my family here for lunch and the waitress took our order and later brought our foods out and we had to ask for some pepper oil, fish sauce and black pepper for our pho. She gave it us some in a small dipping sauce bowl and after that she never came check on us and no refill on water. She checked on her other 2 booths and she never even came check on us and we never got our tab. So I had to go up and pay and she never asked if everything was okay. She's rude and this is the worst Vietnamese restaurant. I live 5 mins away and I rather drive to all those other Vietnamese restaurants in Madison Heights because their customer service is way better, food taste better and price is better. Never coming back and now I know why they...
