About 18 months ago, before Covid upset everyone's routine, I went into CR Rader Jewelers to see if someone could help enclose a lock of hair into an old gold locket. It was a tricky fit, and I had unsuccessfully visited a number of shops previously. The man (Mr. Rader?) behind the counter spent at least an hour trying various tools and tactics until he was successful. I did not know the shop or man who rescued me, but he solved my long-standing problem. The cost? Nothing - despite my attempts to at least pay for his time. The store looks like it is from 1916. They are pretty proud of the fact that they are an old business. I agree they are old and classless. Need to get with the modern times. Lots of crystal and silver spoons. No real jewelry to speak of. Your Kay jewelry store has better merchandise.
