I realize that this place just opened, but there are a lot of issues that need to be fixed in the service area. We visited on Sunday night. It wasn’t too busy, but there were a decent amount of people there. We had a party of 6, including a baby and a 5 year old. We requested a sling at the hostess station for the baby’s car seat. Once we were seated, they did not bring a sling nor did they give us a child’s menu with crayons. We asked the waitress for both. She brought us the sling, but no child’s menu or crayons. We ordered our drinks, which came out fast. The only problem with the drinks is that two of us had sweet tea and asked for refills, but they ran out of sweet tea! They also did not have regular tea available. We ordered replacement drinks instead. Here’s where things go south. After we ordered our food, we sat for an hour waiting. The waitress only visited our table once with refills and to give us more bread. We didn’t get updates on our food and she never came back for us to ask about our salad. It never came. Others around us were getting food and what seemed to be decent service. We got really hungry and the kids were getting restless. Finally, an hour later our food arrived, except for mine. Still no salad. The waitress went back to the kitchen to check. Meanwhile a manager stopped by to see how we were doing. We told her that my food, including my salad never arrived. They returned with the salad and explained that the waitress forgot to put my order in. Another manager came back and said that my meal would be comped. Once my food arrived, it was ok. The mashed potatoes were cold and not loaded as I had ordered The steak was not bad. My husband’s burger looked good but he ended up only eating half of it. He said it wasn’t great. Our check came but it included a charge for my meal, so we had to tell the waitress that the manager said that we would not be charged for it. It took longer than we expected to get that fixed. Overall, this is not the legendary service that we expect from Texas Roadhouse. It was sadly disappointing but could be easily fixed with little effort. The restaurant overall is clean. It needs some major...
Read moreI have been to many Texas Roadhouse locations over the years. That alone says something because it's not fast food and I choose to go back knowing it will take some time. This last visit was a little different. I ordered for pickup, which I don't often do. The new location in Mason, OH has a drive thru window for pickup! I talked with the lady at the window and she said there aren't many locations that have them. Overall it was a great experience and I would do that again the next time I order to-go from them. The food is consistently good. Salads are cold and fresh. The shrimp are always excellent, and they were this time as expected. I've had the prime rib, porterhouse, strip, ribeye, filet, and sirloin. I really like the sirloin for a less expensive option. The pork chops I've had were really tasty and I think you get two so it's plenty of food. This last order they forgot to include the rolls, but I didn't realize they were included with the order so I wasn't to disappointed. The broccoli wasn't great this time, but that's not what I went there to get. I'll keep going back as long as I keep having good experiences with them!
Update 12-30-2023 Got food at the drive thru again. It took a little longer than expected but given the Holiday weekend it wasn't a surprise. This time it was rolls, fried pickle chips, salads, sirloin steaks, shrimp, and baked potatoes. Everything we had...
Read moreMy family and I decided to visit this restaurant after a day at the nearby amusement park around 5:30p on 6/22/24. To continue our celebration. The restaurant was busy as usual and with expectation. We walked right in to the restaurant and straight to the podium where we were first at the host stand. . The little girl working the podium totally ignored the 3 of us BLATANTLY, while we were standing DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF HER! She took 3 other guest before me and family and put them on the waiting list. She clearly refused to acknowledge our presence and so did the other two young men that was working the podium with her. None of the hosts were preoccupied. All the guests that walked in after us walked straight over to the other available host and was placed on the wait list right away. My daughter yelled from behind me EXCUSE ME! And the girl / host looked dead in my face and said how many are on your party as if she hadn’t ignored us four the first 4 min of walking in the door of the restaurant and taking other reservations before us. . My family and I patron Texas Roadhouse in our home state and all over the country and this is our first experience dealing with RACISM at their expense which overall equals HORRIBLE SERVICE. We lost our apetite due to this disgusting behavior even though we had a two hour ride home. Can not recommend a visit to...
