Stayed at The Hall South Beach 5/25/17-5/30/17.This was my first time in Miami, FL, and it was amazing. Staying at The Hall made my trip even more special. Staying at The Hall gave me a residential feeling more than a tourist staying in a hotel. My room faced the street. I loved waking up to the beautiful sun and palm trees in the window every morning. I was right in front of the action, but at night there was no sound to interrupt my sleep. Also, the blinds kept the sun out in the morning when we slept in. I loved people watching from my window. Walking distance to the beach. Prime location!!! All the ammenties were on point. Pool was perfect. Sunny's was AMAZING!! Food was amazing. Best margaritas. I loved starting my day with a delicious margarita from Sunny's. Staff was great. Everyone was nice. Everything was clean. The courtyard, amazing. I had such a high while I was there in Miami and I am so happy I chose to stay at The Hall and in that room particularly. Be advised there is a $100 per day security deposit. I think it's high to pay $100 per day, but knowing in advance doesn't bother me. I did a lot of research and called ahead 3 times so I was well informed about what to exepect (fees, payments, what's included, check-in and out process, etc). I arrived super late, because I missed my plane, but I called and had no problems getting in my room. I believe I was in the A building and had a single king bed. The perfect baecation!!!! Thank you for a memorable Memorial Day/ Birthday/...
Read moreAbsolutely love this place! It's an older, historic building (actually consists of multiple buildings all right next to each other) that is filled with tons of nooks and crannies covered in palm trees. Campton Yard really does feel like you're in somebody's back yard (in a good way) and Sunny's is in a cozy nook. Haven't tried their food yet, so can't vouch for that. The pool is huge and our room has a nice balcony overlooking the pool. Like it says on the website, the hotel really does have a bohemian feel to it, so if you're expecting an upscale facility like a top name hotel brand, this might not work. Also keep in mind that it is located in party central South Beach so yes, you're going to hear ambient music from surrounding establishments and there will be people of all kinds coming and going and passing by. Having said that, the location can't be beat. It is one block from the beach, directly across from Espanola Way, less than two blocks from the Lincoln Road pedestrian mall and convenient to the 150 Miami Airport Express bus. You can walk straight through from Collins Drive in the front to Washington Avenue in the back. The only major downside is the joke of a "fitness center" that consists of two ellipticals and nothing else. But I found something a lot better than that for a morning workout - a morning walk along Ocean Drive! Would definitely...
Read moreAnyone giving this place more than 2 stars has to work at the hotel or has never stayed anywhere remotely decent. I only gave the 2 because of the location & free BASIC wifi. HOWEVER, If you like sheets and comforters with stains (blood) on them, than this is the place for you. Even the lobby chairs were dirty and uncomfortable. The pictures definitely make it look way better than it does. The room is small with thin walls and a horrible paint job. It had old, dirty curtains, and the bathroom was tiny and dirty. The housekeepers did not change the sheets, just made the beds. We had to ask for toilet paper AFTER the bathroom was "cleaned." I 99% positive there were bed bugs. The cabanas by the pool are dirty and disgusting. Did I mention the disgusting sheets?? The door did not close all the way sometimes. When we asked for a new comforter, we were told they didn't know where new comforters were so we were given flat sheets. Worst hotel I ever stayed in. Word to the wise-just pay more for cleanliness and comfort. This place is way overpriced (I guess because of the location). The lobby smelled terrible as well....
