I had the worst experience with this hotel. Upon arriving the staff seemed friendly enough and the room was not ready yet so I left my bags and got a drink. They did call when it was ready. I was on the third floor, room 303 facing the beach area (pictures). The room was quite dirty and dated. It did not resemble the photos online which are posted. There was a broken tile in the middle of the floor. There was hair in all of the corners of the room. The window was broken (pictures). But even at this point I thought I would just power through it, it was a cheap room after all. A friend and I went and had dinner nearby and walking back to the hotel saw a man that appeared to be dead, or at least knocked out and covered in blood, on the sidewalk. After the shock of witnessing police and ambulance load the man up and take him to either the morgue or hospital we walked into the lobby where a homeless man was sleeping on the sofa. After notifying the staff I went back to the room where I tripped on the broken tile in the floor and cut my foot open. I bled everywhere and ended up losing my toenail. I had to seek medical attention and get a tetanus shot to be safe. Anyways, the following morning I decided that I did not want to stay at that hotel and made arrangements to stay at another hotel (The Cadillac, very nice). I had purchased the stay on Priceline and it was non-refundable but I thought I would try since I was hurt and the conditions were so bad. On the way down to the lobby I found that the elevator was broken and had to carry all my bags down three flights of stairs. The management invited me into their office and I told them my situation and showed them my bloody foot. They AGREED to refund me for the nights that I was not going to stay and only charge me for the one night. They said that they were under new management and apologized for my trouble. I was told to call Priceline and Priceline would confirm with them that they were going to provide a refund. I called Priceline and they could not get through to management on the phone and therefore could not provide a refund. I called again and again and management was never around to confirm my refund. I contacted the front desk asking for documentation of my stay and they provided me with a receipt that shows only one night stay. But Priceline still couldn't get through to management to confirm so no refund. I called the hotel and spoke with this NEW new management, her name is Andrea. She told me there was nothing she could do about the old management and that she would talk to the owner and I needed to call her back. So when I called her back she claimed that she never spoke with me and that she would need to contact the "corporation" and that I needed to call her back in an hour. I called back in an hour and she said without all of my documentation that they could do nothing. I have emailed the pictures and the documentation of my one night stay. To this day nothing has been done. There were several people in the lobby unhappy when I left. I will be exploring my options when it comes to reporting this type of business. Perhaps I should not have booked such a cheap room but lower income people or people without a sufficient budget to vacation should not be treated like this.

The stay at Beach Park Hotel was satisfactory, despite our initial concerns stemming from recent negative reviews. Upon our early arrival, we promptly requested the front desk staff to check the room, particularly the water, following a previous complaint. The staff were friendly and professional, guiding us to inspect the room. Ultimately, we were content with the room and decided to proceed with our stay. Here are some key points to consider if you are contemplating a booking: 1. In early January, the water supply was reliable, offering hot water without any showering issues, albeit with slightly older shower fixtures. 2. The room appeared clean, although the bed frame was somewhat aged and produced sounds when used. However, the pillows and mattress were comfortable enough for a good night's sleep, contrary to previous complaints about stiffness. 3. Not recommended for those reliant on multiple charging devices, as there are limited nearby outlets. The available short extension cord for the bed lamp only accommodates one device at a time, and due to its inexpensive quality, charging is relatively slow. 4. The leather seat provided was uncomfortable and seemingly purely decorative. It was too light and caused instability when seated, even for someone weighing 168 lbs. 5. The aging elevator, while intriguing, evoked nervousness when used. As a result, we ended up carrying our own luggage from the 3rd floor. 6. You can’t adjust your own room temperature. If you want to lower you need to ask front desk but it will changed a whole floor. I asked if I feel cold then how to resolve, and i was given solution by close the air vent aka basically no air flow in the room 7. The wall itself quite thin and we can hear noise from room next door, outside hall way when ppl walking. 8. If you plan to calling rideshare. I recommend use Uber. lyft is completely retarded because it wont let you set pick up location by Ocean Drive. In conclusion, Beach Park Hotel is well-positioned as a front beach hotel with a $56 resort fee, despite slow Wi-Fi. It may be suitable for college students seeking proximity to the beach and a lively atmosphere. However, for couples seeking a more comfortable experience, it might be advisable to consider alternative options.

BE AWARE!!!! This hotel is a scam. I book with this hotel at the end of June through their site. Their site was having a Mobile deal stating the night was at a discounted rate. My planned trip wasn’t until the end of August so I’ll book well ahead of time. I’ll call the reservation line 3 times before my trip approach to confirm my reservations and my total for the nights I was staying there because I had added an additional night on (Thursday 8/21). When I checked in the vibe was just off wasn’t greeted. Just was like here signed this document. Woke up the next morning to a letter slid under the door saying that the price that I booked for which was $80 for Thursday and $139 for Friday and Saturday was not the price that they were charging me. The letter stated you need to come downstairs to pay for last night $120 and tonight is gonna be $312. I called the reservation line again saying that I had called several times confirming my total and was told that my total was gonna be $450 for my three nights. When I called before my trip I ask did the price include taxes and fee which I was told it did. I never Stay at the hotel that slid a letter under your door saying that the price is a different price from what I booked online, when I called the reservation to ask why my price has changed I was told my price changed because they didn’t include taxes and fees, because the elevator was broke at the time that I booked. When I arrive to the hotel, the elevator was still broken so I was confused on why now you’re saying that it’s an extra $150 more for taxes and fees per night. I canceled my reservation, checked out and booked another hotel the same day. Not going to play me for a fool. The customer service was awful. The lady on the phone was rude. I would never book this hotel again.

I wanted to write a nice review for everyone being so nice at the Hotel but I am very disappointed with how the billing was handled and feel it is still not finished and I did not get an apology and do not think it is coming. Instead I was asked to call back again and again and treated like I just don't understand my bill, when many mistakes were made. My Room price was supposed to be $510.94 Night 1 $224.10 Night 2 $224.10 Taxes $Fees $62.74

On February 20th I was charged $255.47 for one night's stay.

On February 22nd upon check-in I was charged a remaining balance of $453.47 Alicia the Assistant Manager was so sweet. She waved my early check-in fee of $57.00, because I flew in over night and landed at 8am getting tot he Hotel by 10am exhausted and dirty, They let me check-in way early and I was very grateful for that, and that they were able to find me a room that was ready. Unfortunately it seems that Elvira made a mistake in the code she entered and instead of waving the early check in fee she accidentally charged me TWO upgrade fees at $50 a night. I did not realize it at the time. I then was charged the $200 room deposit which I knew about, am fine with, and SHOULD BE RELEASED by next week. I was very happy to get to my room 307, although I could see probably why it was readily available and not occupied, there is a very loud air conditioner or some machine going on in the Hallway all day and all night, it was a little annoying but not too bad as I am a heavy sleeper and was not in my room very much. My room was beautiful and perfectly clean, with an absolutely BEAUTIFUL view of the beach! I was so happy with my room. I requested more hangers and Lizette got them up to me right away, Housekeeping did a great job with my room Day 2 as well. The Hotel was beautiful and perfectly located. They provided me with bottle waters, lawn chair and towels for the beach which was very helpful. I walked right across the street to a perfect spot on the beach, it was wonderful. Whatever I needed throughout the weekend, Alicia, Lizette and Elvira happily helped me. Alicia gave me to passes to Mangoes which saved me $40, and helped me find a affordable shuttle from the Fort Lauderdale Aiport. I requested late check out on my last day and was told I could stay until Noon with no charge or until 3pm with a $57.00 charge which I agreed to. I was all done with check out in 5 minutes. Instead of the $57.00 fee Elvira only charged me $30,which I have proof of in receipt, again I believe entering the wrong code, but I was grateful and headed home.

Today I realized that I was overcharged. What should have been 3 charges of $510+$57+200= $767.94 with the $200 returned to me in 7-10 days leaving a balance of $567.94 instead ballooned into 5 charges of $255.47+$453.47+$50+$50+$50=$858.94 as confirmed by Marlin today. Neither Alicia nor Marlin apologized to me for the mistake. After 3 or 4 conversations with Marlin today she said I will only be refunded $114, but did not explain why. I should be refunded $291 according to my calculations.

I would have loved to come back again to this beautiful hotel again in the future with my family, but with all the issues with billing I think it's better I find somewhere else maybe. If you come to this Hotel PLEASE go over your bill very clearly line by line...

The beds are horribly uncomfortable and noisy due to a thick clear tarpaulin type sheet they have put between the mattress and bed base. It's a horrible sound moving about and makes you feel very uncomfortable. Hotel is very old so has a very old air conditioning system and plumbing. ||||We had a room with a view of Ocean Drive to start with which was a nice view but very noisy due to thin old windows. However on our second day at the hotel, we flushed the toilet and a pipe at the back of the toilet burst and flooded the bathroom. We called reception with urgency and they said 'can you put some towels down'. We said we didn't think they understood, that we'd put all of the towels down but that the water was continuing to flood. The water flowed over the towels and into our room and the hotel corridor. We called reception again and were told they could give us some extra towels at reception and that there was a plunger at the end of the corridor. ||||I went to reception who gave me two beach towels and said that's all they had. I asked if someone could come and help as the room was flooded and they said 'we don't have anyone on maintenance today, but we can give you a mop and move you rooms...' ||||We ended up trying to mop up all the corridors toilet water ourselves with towels before moving rooms. It was really upsetting that nobody came to help us. ||||Another issue with the hotel is the lack of parking. On booking.com it says parking available on site/nearby at a cost. The valet company is not connected to the hotel but important to know if you're staying here and have a decided to park with the valet out front and were told it was being parked on site and would cost $120 for 3 nights parking. We agreed for convenience. When going on a boat tour of miami on our 3rd day, we were picked up from a neighbouring street and spotted our car parked on the street. We were fuming and went to the car and noticed not only was it parked on the street when told it was on site and off road but they hadn't paid parking for it and it had a parking fine! We approached the valet and they said they'd pay the fine and put it in the parking lot. Thankfully having moved rooms we could see now they did park it on-site after 2 days of it having been left in the road. When collecting our car, the valet said he'd paid the fine. I'd taken a picture of the ticket, checked on the Miami-Dade parking fine website and he had lied and it hadnt been paid. We argued with the valet for a long while whilst he argued we had to pay the full $120 and he would pay the fine but he wasn't doing so. He then said we had to pay and then he would pay the fine. We said no as he'd already lied about parking it. He then threatened to call the police and tried to drive off with our hire car. Honestly it was awful and he was such a horrible man (Elijia or something). Thankfully another man from the company called Mitchell came and helped out with translating for his colleague and apologised for his colleague. ||||This however soured our stay in Miami. Do not park your car with this company unless you want your car parked on the street and a...
