We had just gotten off a plane from NY to Miami. We were starving. Hit the beach quick and then found this place. Got seated right away. I ordered lamb chomps and my partner ordered a prosciutto sandwich. Ten minutes later his sandwich comes out. I’m assuming my dinner is coming out right behind his. He waits for me to be served. And we continue to wait. Two staff members came up and asked if everything was okay. We said yes. We were just waiting for my meal. They asked if I wanted a plate to share his. And I said no. I’ll just wait for mine. After a couple of minutes my partner looked at me and said “I bet you she forgot to put your meal in”. I asked him to ask the waitress. She came over and said yes to me. But she proceeded to show me her handheld ordering device and then started asking me about what sides I wanted…I asked again if she had put my order in and she said yes. I sat there for 20 more minutes. When the food finally came out it was great. But we were charged full price. Never once was I offered an apology. Nor did a manger or anyone come over and ask what was going on. And…they add a 20% gratuity automatically to all checks. 20% for a waitress who forgot to order my food. Who never said she was sorry (they weren’t busy). And who didn’t even do anything to make up for her mistake. I wanted to love this place. And I might have. Had I had better service. I recently had the pleasure of dining at American Bistro Restaurant, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. One of the standout features of our visit was my waitress, Aeva. She was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the menu but also exuded a level of politeness that made me feel right at home. Aeva took the time to offer recommendations and answer my questions with genuine enthusiasm, which truly enhanced the dining experience. If you ever find yourself at American Bistro, be sure to ask for her!

The service was complemented by the outstanding food. I ordered the surf and turf, and it was nothing short of perfection. The combination of tender steak and succulent seafood was cooked to absolute perfection, beautifully seasoned, and presented elegantly. It’s a dish that truly showcases the restaurant's commitment to quality.

Another highlight of my visit was the manager, Markus, who exemplified top-notch service. He frequently checked in on me, ensuring everything was to my satisfaction and that my dining experience was seamless.

Worst service in a long time. Melina A took our order, never saw her again.... Never checked how the food was, I wanted another beer, no water refills, nothing.....just stood there on her phone on the other end..... We are done eating, Melina is no where in sight, we wanted our check, asked other waitress for it, comes back and says your server has to get it..... Here we sit.....waiting..... Then this Melina starts taking some new order right in front of us after being told we need our check...while we sit there waiting, again. The loser server finally brings the check, I tell her we never saw you since the order taking, she says I was right here.....unbelievable attitude! Like we are supposed to chase her for service! I tell her I am not paying a 20% service charge for no service, she rudely SNATCHED the bill out of my hands and stormed off.... You do not need useless employees like her, better off without this liability employee. I observed the other waitress, super attentive, checked back on her table, and the male on duty that delivered our food, cleared our table, got our to go box, and super friendly should be serving or managing, and getting the TIPS!
