In this world where so many restaurants come and go without leaving any true memory behind, it is nothing short of a joy—perhaps even a miracle—to discover a place like Meet Dalia in Miami Beach. I do not exaggerate when I say that this establishment has left a profound impression on me, not only because of its extraordinary cuisine, but for the genuine humanity and warmth that breathe through every corner of this experience.
Situated gracefully along Ocean Drive, with the gentle sea breeze carrying the perfume of salt and sunshine, Meet Dalia offers not merely a meal, but a chapter of your day transformed into something elegant and memorable. From my seat on the charming sidewalk terrace, I watched the world go by—palm trees gently swaying, people laughing, and the golden light of Miami wrapping everything in a soft embrace. It felt almost cinematic.
Yet the true essence of this place lies not only in its setting, but in the spirit of those who work within it. There is, unmistakably, a will to do good, a rare and noble intention to serve with dignity and kindness. While I was enjoying my peaceful lunch, a group of ten guests arrived without a reservation. The staff faced a delicate challenge—how to accommodate this large party in a nearly full house. Instead of turning them away, they approached me with politeness and humility, explaining the situation and asking if I would kindly consider moving to another table. I said yes without hesitation, but what followed touched me deeply: an entire team moved swiftly and gracefully to re-seat me, making sure I was comfortable and happy. There was no rush, no fuss—only smiles, professionalism, and gratitude. It was hospitality in its purest form.
And then, the food arrived.
To begin, I was served a beef carpaccio delicately crowned with caviar—a dish of finesse, with textures and tastes that danced on the tongue like poetry. Then came the filet mignon, tender and perfectly cooked, but what truly took my breath away was its companion on the plate: a mille-feuille of potato with truffle. Words struggle to capture the delight of this creation—so layered, so fragrant, so carefully conceived that it felt like eating a sonnet.
To accompany this regal meal, I enjoyed a Cabernet Sauvignon from Mount Veeder, Napa. A bold and elegant wine, with just the right body to complement the dishes.
But it was not only the food that impressed me. It was Sarah, the waitress assigned to my table. With her warm smile, calm voice, and intuitive recommendations, she became more than a server—she became a guide, a host, almost a friend for the duration of my meal. People like her are rare.
Before leaving, I wandered through the Art Deco interior of the restaurant, located inside the Gabriel Hotel. Every detail—from the lighting to the architectural lines—spoke of design, intention, and love for beauty. It is a place where you feel the presence of soul.
In short, Meet Dalia is a triumph of taste, emotion, and grace. It is the kind of place that reminds you why we travel, why we gather, why we eat not only to live but to experience joy, connection, and beauty. As a humble traveler from Turkey, I thank this team from my heart. I left filled—not only in stomach,...
Read moreWe usually go to the place next to this for paella. We tried this place for the first time because it was Mediterranean. We were served by a lady called Melissa and ordered a greek salad and paella to share between the two of us.
We had to return the paella because it was drenched in water and had no flavor nor salt. When it came back it tasters better (not great) and the lobster on top was burnt and dry. We tried to be thankful and did not complain about the burnt and dry lobster which was not edible.
A standard paella in the area is not more than $50 for one so even thought she told us about it we did not assume it would be R105 ex tax, since it was not shown in the menu; and we had told her we are very light eaters and did not want a lot of food - so we did not think they would add a whole lobster to our paella. For 2 of us we had one Greek salad (which was delicious), a paella for one, one vodka martini, one mojito and a medium margarita for take out for a total of $255.
When we asked for take out boxes she was shocked that we did not eat much of the paella (it was practically still full and we had eaten most of the salad) and we mentioned that we said we are light eaters and did not want a lot of food (which was mentioned at the beginning when we she convinced us to enter the restaurant).
This is not a money issue. It’s a principle and transparency issue.
The drinks were good. But we will never be back because they are dishonest to make a quick buck. Very...
Read moreWe were deliberating on which of the many restaurants to visit on Ocean Drive and came into Meet Dalia’s. So happy we did, the atmosphere is beautiful inside, the hostess Tamara was lovely and welcoming and then we met our waiter, Kike, who was absolutely wonderful! His genuine warmth and enthusiasm truly added to our experience and Kike always made sure we were well attended to. Great recommendations on the spicy shrimp linguine, which was flavorful and perfectly proportioned for one or even to split between two, you will not be disappointed! My husband and I also got the chicken Caesar wrap to split together as we just flew in from NYC and wanted something light and the salad was fresh, just the right amount of chicken and dressing all wrapped into a spinach tortilla which made it feel more like salad-like, paired with lightly seasoned fries. Don’t miss out on the cocktails either! The mojito was very well balanced, if you’re feeling up to it, get the larger size! I got the Purple Lady, their signature cocktail, because why not lol, and is perfect for all gin lovers out there! Kike ended off our stay with nothing but the same great charisma all throughout and hoping we get to see him again! Come on in and “Meet Dalia’s”,...
