2/5/25â So, mentally, I had already decided that I was going to drop into a CrossFit box near me. Butâbig butâmy lower back had other plans. The bed Iâve been sleeping on (for reasons unknown to science) decided to take my minor discomfort and crank it up a few notches. All night, I wrestled with the question: Should I go to CrossFit and risk my back turning into a pretzel? As the clock ticked closer to my workout time, I reconsidered and thought, "Letâs pivot!" Thatâs when I looked up F45, and before I could second-guess myself, I signed up.
Walking there from my hotel turned out to be a pleasant surpriseâless than half an hour, which, in my book, qualifies as a great warm-up. Arriving 30 minutes early (because, you know, being on time is a crime in my culture), I met Vanessa, the trainer, who kindly let me in. I found a cozy little corner to stretch, trying to convince my lower back that we were on the same team. Spoiler alert: It remained skeptical.
Since I had already tried Sweat440, the whole circuit-style training with monitors and numbered stations felt familiar. But what stood out to me at F45 was the vibeâno egos, just down-to-earth people. Coming from another gym where I felt a bit like an outsider, this was refreshing. And letâs talk about the format! At only 45 minutes, the workout moves fast, especially near the end when rest time shrinks to a whisper. This is great for me because around that time, my brain and body start their little internal debate: "Are we done yet?" But before my mind can stage a full rebellion, boomâthe set is over!
Vanessa was the kind of trainer you want in your corner. She kept the energy up, motivated us without screaming in our faces (East Coast trainers, take notes!), and truly embodied the "Iâm here for you" spirit. And guess what? I got on the pull-up bar with bands and managed ten reps. A small win, but hey, give me until the end of the year, and I might crank out one or two unassisted! Oh , and I bought a T-shirt . I loved that they had a few things there . I like to collect t shirts from diffent places I work out around the world
Final thoughts: Highly recommend. Just download the Mindbody app, sign up, and when you arrive, sign a waiverâno hassle, no drama. Just a solid workout in a great atmosphere. Oh, and Vanessa, safe travels! You made my F45...
Read moreI have been with F45 for over 5 years with an unlimited membership and this is the first studio I cannot rate with 5 stars. It was my first time to try to use the passport ouside my state to join a class and I left without the class. The coach I spoke to was rude and unkowledgeable; when I mentioned I would submit a review with my experience, he said I should not be threatening him; however, reviews are for preventing people from wasting their time. I have the booking app and he wanted me to download another app, but then he went back to saying I was being rude and he didnât care about my money, that he was not there to do whatever I wanted for my money. I explained I wasnât asking for anything free, but a perk that F45 offers members with unlimited membership. I explained that in other gyms they got me in through their ipad; he said he could not do that, that I must be booked. Among his reasons for not being able to get myself booked he said maybe I didnât pay my dues or my membership expired, lol! He said that they have people every week that book with the passport but he didnât know how they did it; so very interesting! I followed the passport directions on the F45 website and created a profile for this location. This is not the first gym that struggles with the passport but it is the first one in which I left without taking the class. If they are not a participating location, this coach does not know it; yet he said every week people join through the passport. If you own this business, I wish your business well and I hope this feedback helps you coach this male individual to do better for your franchise. However, I am here for a couple of days and I wasted my morning walking to this gym and leaving without the class. I even got there 40 minutes early to work through the hurdles and waited outside not realizing the street entrance is not the main entrance.Truly a bad experience and the first bad experience...
Read moreI love everything about this gym! Amazing staff and amazing regulars come together to make it an incredible community. The workouts are the perfect level of challenging but also still manageable. Every workout is different and includes a wide variety of equipment that also changes each day. The gym is super clean and also has an Inbody scanner that helps you see exactly how your body changes like how much muscle youâve gained and fat youâve lost. They also have heart rate monitors where you can see how youâre performing in real time and also get a report after, and also allows for some friendly competition. Overall I feel super fortunate to have found...
