The hotel, which is presented in the photos on Airbnb, is significantly different from what we saw when we arrived. The photos are retouched and distort reality without showing the true condition of the rooms. As proof, I have attached photos taken in the room. What we found in the hotel: 1. Ubiquitous dirt, dust and fungus. The room looks as if it has not been cleaned at all. There is fungus on many elements of the "decor" even on the lamps by the bed and the decoration on the wall. 2. The air conditioning is full of dust and fungus making it produce large amounts of smelly air. After turning it on, the room smells even more of dampness and fungus, and at night it is so warm that it is difficult to sleep without turning it on. 3. The ventilation is very poor making everything damp, and towels and clothes do not dry. 4. As soon as you enter the building, there is a very strong smell of damp which is also present in the room itself. 5. In the room you can hear everything, we had a room near the stairs and the door banged every time someone walked through it. The walls are paper thin so you can hear all conversations around. 6. The lamps that are near the beds are moldy. 7. Windows aren't properly isolated - there was very heavy rain one night, the windowsill ended up very wet and the water kept dripping from above the window so we were forced to leave a towel there to reduce the dripping noise. 8. The duvet is just wrapped in a piece of sheet from each side rather than a proper duvet cover which is very unhygienic as I doubt that the duvet is cleaned after each stay. 9. During our seven night stay, the room wasn't cleaned a single time . The rubbish was never taken out. 10. In addition, my partner and I asked the reception via email to provide fresh towels but we got a response after 3 days which is a shame as due to very poor ventilation, the towels never had a chance to dry completely so they were wet and smelly. 11. Additionally, the whole area as soon as you enter the building seems to be under construction with empty boxes left out - when we arrived, we thought the hotel was abandoned because of it. The pictures on Airbnb showed tables in front of the hotel, but in reality there is nothing there. 12. Also, on November 16th around 2.30 am an alarm went off in the elevator which woke up the whole hotel. People were panicking as nobody knew what was going on. We tried to contact the host directly to report the issue but nobody answered. Then we decided to contact Airbnb and we reported the problem this way. Finally we had to call 911 and the fire department arrived to turn off the alarm around 4.30am. I do not tend to leave negative comments and/or feedback but after the sleepless night caused by the fire alarm and unresponsiveness from the host during this situation, I am forced to do so. If you want to spend your vacation in a comfortable and clean room, I recommend choosing a different accommodation.

Overall: This hotel is filthy and has extremely poor service. I recommend you avoid staying here: truthfully, the only good thing about this hotel is that it’s located close to the beach. Here are a few of the issues we experienced during our week-long stay. If you read other reviews of this place, you will see that our experience is unfortunately common: the hotel’s “luxury” advertising is misleading, and they have done nothing to address these issues (and hardly even do the bare minimum of responding to negative reviews). The hotel isn’t clean: • The rooms have black mold and extensive water damage. The AC vents are unclean and moldy. The smell of mildew and mold is pervasive throughout the entire hotel. • The room wasn’t cleaned when we arrived. The furniture was stained, the mirror was dirty, the linens were stained. There was no duvet cover – just a sheet wrapped around the duvet. • Throughout our stay, there was the smell of raw sewage emanating from our bathroom and filling the entire room. • The bathroom had extensive black mold and water damage, which grew over the course of our stay. There was a paintbrush outside in the hallway when we arrived; it’s clear that maintenance just paints over the black mold between each guest’s stay. • There are no trashcans in the rooms except for one tiny bin in the bathroom. The hotel told us to throw out trash “in the hallway bin.” There was a single tiny trashcan in the hallway on our floor (there is no trash room) so the hallway was constantly littered with used towels and trash, which was rarely picked up. The advertising is misleading, the building is in disrepair: • The photos for the unit are retouched and completely misleading. (There is no glass door for the shower; the bathroom is just one big room with a drain next to the shower. The cable box for the TV was hanging haphazardly out of the wall.) • It rained during our stay, and a lot of water leaked into the room. The windows aren’t properly sealed. • The walls are not remotely soundproofed. We could hear everything that happened in our neighbor’s room. • The rooftop “lounge” is a mess of broken chairs and tables with no umbrellas or shade from the sun. • There’s no deadbolt lock on the inside of the doors (usually standard for hotels). The staff wasn’t helpful at all: • The front desk “staff” is unhelpful and is clearly just there to respond to messages on vacation rental platforms. My partner cut her finger and they didn’t even have a first-aid kit to provide a bandage for her. Also, the desk is unstaffed in the evening. • When we complained about these issues, the staff offered us to move us to “another property” or give us a partial discount on our stay in exchange for not posting a bad review (in other words, they asked us not to post an honest account of what we experienced as it would "hurt their business"). They did not mention any plan to fix these issues.

Location is great…it ends there. I understand it’s a budget hotel, but there’s no excuse for filthy, damp, musty, moldy rooms!! Clothes/towels that got wet, stayed wet. Clothes that weren’t wet, somehow got wet from the sheer humidity in the room. Having an allergy to mold, my friends and I all are suffering from congestion, headaches/migraines, and sore throats. But we aren’t getting sick. The second we leave the building and are outside, we are entirely fine. This is a huge health hazard. Not to mention, the hotel listing is sooo outdated. The beautiful lobby and bar? Doesn’t exist. 24/7 reception? No. They end at 4PM and that’s only if you can catch them. Half the time nobody is at the front desk. Continental breakfast? Nope. Refrigerator in the room? Yes, but not cold so no point. The photos look much better than reality. All the furniture has smudge marks, mold, sticky residue, rust, etc. on them. Just really run down and not maintained well. Let’s not forget — we also have the ac unit leaking onto the floor. They came to fix it, but the floor is still soaking wet. I’m reminded every time I walk to the bathroom and step on the wet, soggy carpet. I would not stay here again.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. First of all the on line pictures are not even close to the real deal. We chose to stay here for my Birthday weekend, however because it is a self service type setup which we didn't know until we arrived, because we were lied to about that. Upon arrival about 4:00pm everyone was gone, that's right no front desk assistance what so ever! However prior to booking we were informed that front desk assistance will be available until 12:00am which was a lie! So unfortunately my guest and I had to spend the night inhaling mold and stale carpet etc... The bathrooms are horrible as well, Furthermore we were given a handicap assisted room in stead of the original room we booked! This place reeked of mildew, I can tell there was water damage prior, in which this building was never properly gutted out. I mean soon as you open the door, the smell of mold slapped you in the face! Don't even let me get started on the cheesy rooms. Which I could tell haven't been cleaned. In fact the whole day we were there, I didn't see not one house keeper or house keeping cart in sight! I was so uncomfortable and furious! I did not sleep that night, and refused to climb under the covers, so I proped up some pillows and laid on top of those instead, my friend decided to pull her pillowcase back and when she did OMG! yellow stains galore just grosse! I know for a fact the sheets were not clean either. This place needs to be shut down, there's no way it is sanitary, people are inhaling mold 24/7. It is very dirty, self service, and unpleasant. Do not believe the hype, do yourself a favor, save your money, do not stay here, I repeat, DO NOT STAY HERE!!! For some reason I feel like we were lured into a booby trap of some sort because of the lies told prior to booking, this place is horrible like a nightmare! My friends and I adopted the name, the mold motel. Luckily, after all night back and forth, we were able to leave the very nx morning to a much better hotel that didn't reek of mildew etc... We marched downstairs to an assistant who was kind and understanding of our situation, if you ask me she knew exactly where we were coming from and why we were so pissed because she's had these complaints before, she offered us another room in which we declined of course, the whole building is molded, all throughout the hallways etc... There's also a strong smell of some type of chemical spray that resembles the sent of roach spray or repellent, I can't describe it but it stinks. Please take my advice and run as far away from this place as possible, I guarantee you will be disappointed if you...
