I agree with MO's review, the massage I experienced here was not of a high quality. The masseuse didn't seem well-trained and was more going through the motions that conducting a proper massage.
But some of that can be personal preference, so let me mention something that I felt set the tone of this place. Rather than being shown the lockers, I was given a slip that told me to find my locker myself and threatened me with a fee if I stole their robes or sandals (pictured) if I didn't leave it in my locker. However, the locker room has a communal drop for these items. So if I followed the instructions in the locker room, I would have been setting myself up for $195 in fees and accusation of theft? These are not the thoughts I should have having sixty seconds into my spa experience. At the very least, it shows no one is properly thinking of the guest experience.
I was also disappointed that the spa doesn't take advantage of the location and feels more like a basement. The one shower's rain head was not working as well, making the showering experience subpar.
It's not that this place was terrible, I just found it disappointing and uncompetitive for the price and the comparable spas within...
Read moreI booked a massage online for $225 for 50 minutes for September 19th. The massage was great. The problem was that as I was checking out the black lady was rude. Not very hospitable to be working at a spa at a high end hotel. When she gave me my receipt, I saw the total was $324. She said gratuity was included. Okay, great. But that is not what I had paid for and agreed to when I booked my massage. She was arguing with me that the massage prices say starting from on the website. I never saw that and I double checked and didn't see that anywhere on the website. Her attitude was gross, she said she knows the website very well with a smart attitude. I told her it doesn't say it anywhere and she didn't care to listen to me. Very bad customer service. My friends massage was booked by a friend of hers who did not go. The lady would not let her check out with the card that was on file that had secured the massage. Other hotels I have been to have allowed for the card on file to checkout with. Many people get gifted massages so I don't know why this lady did not allow it and was rude about it. Please get front of the spa employees that...
Read moreAs a well deserved treat to unwind and give myself some self care visited the Miami Beach Edition Spa! Let me just begin with the hotel, absolutely STUNNING! The receptionist were friendly and indicated me the spa was a level below the lobby. Def makes the spa feel more intimate which I loved! Just like the rest of the hotel, the spa is so aesthetic and beautiful I literally wanted to live at the spa forever! The service given by everyone was so sweet, friendly, and helpful which made me feel at home. Even tho there aren’t many amenities at the spa and it’s is quite small, it feels cozy (they just have the changing rooms, steam room, a lounge area, and the private rooms for massages and treatments) I got the hot stone massage which was very good (8.5/10) and was part of the Miami Spa Week special which made the price very accessible (about $150) for a “high-end” spa. A bit sad that there was no pool access or not any other amenities to enjoy, but for the price I think it’s...
