0 stars Our stay was in December, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. Despite being promised a refund for the resort fee, we never received it—even after months of waiting and multiple follow-ups. Eventually, I had to dispute the charge through my credit card company. Additionally, they refused to refund our stay, stating that we had booked through a third-party site. From the start, the service was unacceptable. We were initially assigned a room that was already occupied—an incredibly uncomfortable and unsafe situation. Shockingly, it was the manager who handed us the key to an occupied room. When we were finally given a different room, it had several issues. The air conditioning didn’t work, leaving us in an uncomfortably hot room all night. Despite reaching out to the front desk, no one offered a solution. The bathroom was not properly cleaned, with hair in the shower and a toilet that struggled to flush. The hotel itself appeared outdated and poorly maintained. The floors were thin enough to hear every step from the room above us, and we noticed visible water damage on the first-floor ceiling that had been unevenly painted over. There was also a frustrating lack of outlets for charging devices. What made the experience even worse was the dismissive and unprofessional response from management when we voiced our concerns. Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet even the most basic expectations for cleanliness, comfort, or customer service. I would strongly recommend choosing another place to stay.

For the price we paid to stay here, I was expecting to be impressed by this hotel. From the outside, the building itself was a little blah. Inside, there was a fancy looking bar (which was closed). A decent lobby made up for the abysmal seating in the front of the hotel. The front desk person assumed I spoke Spanish and continued to blabber at my friend, blatantly ignoring me. The fees they were charging extra to have a place at the beach was a bit ridiculous and we were told we could only have 2 lounges and 1 umbrella even though there were 3 of us who evenly split the cost of everything. He even said that breakfast will be served for 2 people only. As he gave us our room keys we entered a room that seemed more of a converted closet. Everything was dated. The breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed ourselves with the variety of options available. The hotel location is undeniably perfect. Right in the center of everything. On our second night, a massive fight broke out at around 1-2 am. We couldn't figure out what direction the noise was coming from and it sounded like someone was getting beat up with a chair. The screaming and the chair slamming on a wall went on for about 45 minutes. I don't think I will stay at this place again. The location is great but I would rather feel safe.

For sure, I was expecting that in a 4* hotel in Miami, they would clean the rooms more often.... I was feeling that the roommate were trying to find a reason not to clean... She came just once, without changing my towels, for the 3 nights I stayed. I had put the sign "do not disturb" at my door till 10: 30-11:00, because I wanted to stay in my room till that time, but this was not the reason for her to avoid cleaning...!! Anyway.... This was the only problem!! In general the hotel was perfect, the location one of the best, the services really more than expected and the stuff at the bar amazing!! Recommended... really!! Thank you guys!!

For those traveling for the first time know that the hotel it is in a great location because you have a Walgreens around the corner, Ross, plenty of food options and even an urgent care. There is no parking. Some parking on the streets is expensive plus you want your vehicle to be safe. Parking “out there” can vary from $20 to $40 a day. There was a parking lot (not garage) behind the hotel but they charged $20 for only 6 hours which we thought was a rip off so we found a garage and walked. No, the hotel doesn’t give you a discount or voucher towards public parking but they do offer $45 valet but we didn’t need it. We came during memorial weekend Saturday + Sunday + Monday. Perhaps the price was more because of a holiday but know that parking is a rough one. We also have a 3 year old so a stroller is a must. Pack umbrella and rain items just in case.

Moving on to the hotel! Great staff. From the front door greeter, to Marcella the front desk lady, to the manager to the staff during breakfast. We didn’t get eggs this time like the pictures but the rate is comfortable since the beach is right there. Not ocean view but walking distance is about 6 minutes. The hotel also includes towels, chairs, umbrellas which you can have access to when you arrive at the beach.

Each hotel has little rental spots where the hotel will tell you exactly where to find and you go there and give your last name and they help you with the rest. The towels are given to you in a cute tote bag at the front desk when you present a card they also give you.

Breakfast was good. Cupcakes, coffee was great, orange juice, tea, yogurt, cereal , toasted bread, fresh fruit for the yogurt etc

Breakfast is from 7:30-9:30am and the staff inside the restaurant spot is to attentive.

The pool was so clean and the outdoor area feels like it’s your own luxurious backyard. Really cozy and relaxing. They also have restrooms outside! You know, the little ones always asking to use the bathroom.

The rooms are smaller then expected but the buildings in this area all around are small but our room was clean and the staff comes in to deliver shampoo, essentials and clean towels as well in the morning and they also come around to pick up dirty towels as well. Even tho they don’t make your room but this is plenty.

They have a small fridge inside the room, a small closet and they provide you with two elegant cute bathroom robes and plenty of towels and the essentials like shampoo conditioner etc. They don’t have a microwave or coffee machine inside the room. They have a long desk, a TV with plenty of channels, ceiling fan, the king bed we got was very comfortable and clean and the bathroom including the shower was clean.

We had the third floor and the elevator was roomy and fast enough.

The location of the hotel is walking distance from everything pretty much including ocean drive so if you are cool with walking, park at a garage and pick a good bag and go around the many cool places.

Overall our experience was really nice. We didn’t hear anything from the outside street noise or the neighbors.

We also got a free mojito with our visit but we showed them the email confirmation with the email stating this. We did two nights total since this is the only time we needed but again,...

Hotel San Juan in Miami is not just a hotel; it’s a tropical oasis with a twist of humor, where the palm trees are as welcoming as the staff and the pool is rumored to have healing properties (or at least, that’s what the margaritas would have you believe). As soon as you step into the lobby, you’re greeted with a décor that’s so quintessentially Miami, you half expect a flamingo to strut up and take your luggage. The vibe is a perfect blend of luxury and whimsy, making you feel like you’ve stepped into an episode of a glamorous sitcom set in the Magic City.

The rooms at Hotel San Juan are like personal sanctuaries of comfort and style. The beds are so cozy, you might contemplate spending your entire vacation in them – that is, until the siren call of Miami’s beaches and nightlife beckons. Each room is equipped with amenities that make you feel pampered, and the balconies offer views that could easily be featured on a postcard boasting, “Wish you were here!”

But it’s the staff that truly sets Hotel San Juan apart. They’re a merry band of hospitality wizards, always ready with a joke, a smile, and uncanny recommendations for your Miami adventures. Ask them where to eat, and they’ll guide you to culinary treasures. Inquire about local attractions, and they’ll reveal hidden gems that aren’t in your guidebook. Their service is so spot-on, you’ll start to wonder if they’re mind readers.

The pool area is a realm of relaxation and laughter, where the water is crystal clear, and the poolside cocktails come with a side of witty banter from the bartenders. And when the sun sets, the hotel’s ambiance transforms into a chic, tropical haven, perfect for sipping a mojito and soaking in the Miami vibe.

In summary, Hotel San Juan is more than just a place to stay; it’s a Miami experience wrapped in luxury, laughter, and a little bit of that special Magic City flair. Whether you’re here for the beaches, the nightlife, or just to escape reality for a while, Hotel San Juan is your perfect home away from home – with a few extra palm trees and a lot more fun.

Hotel has a stand at Miami Beach - 7 min walk. Beaches from the beach, great sunrises and sunset from there. Adding Photos of Taco Taco South Beach 1720 Collins Ave Miami Beach, FL 33139

This hotel is truly a catch in the heart of south beach! I was impressed with the luxury and quality of the rooms, service, and amenties. Checking in was very smooth and they have a cart to bring luggage up to your room. They also hold luggage for you before check in and after check out! My flight out was at 4pm so it was incredibly helpful to have my luggage stored safe after checking out to spend my last day walking the strip and getting lunch. Below is a little more info on how amazing my stay really was:

First, I booked this hotel directly on their website which I highly reccomend because you get a free drink when you check in. I stayed for a full week, 6 nights. They provide ice as well as water bottles which is such a huge plus when you are staying on the beach. The rooms have a mini fridge, safe, robes, iron and iron board, coffee machine with cups, and an ice bucket. Literally everything a normal hotel has which i love!! Other places I have stayed on the beach did not have these amenties.

My favorite part of staying at the San Juan would have to be the staff. I have never experienced such kind and helpful staff, both at the front desk, bar, and cleaning staff. I was on a solo vacation this past week and coming in and out of my hotel, I was always greeted and felt very safe. The pool is super warm and nice, not a whole lot of chairs but not really a big deal. The chairs and umbrellas down at the beach are also so nice! You are able to get a beach towel and bag at the front desk before heading the beach. The beach guys that set up your chairs and check you in are also very nice and helpful, and make checking in for a chair very simple.

Overall I will absolutely be booking here again. The only issue I had was my room was right across from the elevator, so everytime it was used i would hear a big swooshing noise in my room. Was not a big deal at night but kind of annoying during the day. Next time I book I will just request a room away from the elevator. But you should definitely consider this hotel if its within your budget. I persoanlly found the resort fees to be worth it for the amenties and service you get. I am booking my next trip here...
