Stayed here recently for 2 weeks. I don’t care what anyone says this place is NOT clean! Or maybe people are just nasty anyways and they think this place is clean? Had to clean the entire room myself before I felt comfortable bringing anything in. This is absolutely absurd seeing as how 95% of their guests are here because they are sick and going to the Mayo Clinic. The last thing a sick person needs is a dirty hotel to make them sicker. Thank goodness we were not there for that reason. There are a lot of unsavory characters staying here. I am surprised the hotel puts up with some of their behavior. They advertise an indoor pool and jacuzzi but they were not working and had not been for quite some time according to staff. The internet here sucks! If you need to do work, are a gamer or want to stream tv you will be furious! The tvs are so old they don’t even have streaming capabilities. We brought our own Roku box but due to the very slow internet it was very rare that it worked and when it did it froze and dragged. The “cable” they offer had very few channels, I think like 20 or less. So bring a book! The laundry room is a mess! I have never in my life seen a hotel this big with only 2 working washers (down to 1 before we left) but 4 dryers. The machines will tear up your clothes. Guests put in their laundry and leave it all day and overnight?? Yes, laundry is free but unless you actually want to stand in the very hot laundry room (has no AC) and actually wait for a machine then you probably won’t get one. There are guests doing laundry for payment thus tying up the machines for days. They even go as far as putting out of order signs on them so no one will use them and it will be available when they want it. When this was mentioned to staff they laughed? Laughed! I do not find it funny. They did absolutely nothing about it. We paid over $200 a night to stay here for 2 weeks and out of the 2 weeks we stayed we had no water for 2 of those days. We were not given notice of this happening till after check out time the evening before and it was done by letters slid under the room doors? Seems deliberate to me so no one would check out as they had already missed check out time. When the water did return it was discolored until the time we left and smelled of sewage. Again, when mentioned to staff nothing was done. They do offer a breakfast buffet every morning and every morning it will consist of sausage for the meat if there is meat that day (sometimes it’s just biscuits and gravy). Whenever they serve meat it will be some form of sausage ALWAYS!! Sausage patties, sausage links, sausage biscuit and gravy. Doesn’t matter what day it is, even Sunday you will be having sausage. For those staying more than a day or two this is monotonous. They have an evening social Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. It is a small main item (sometimes a salad) with salad and cookies. Cookies will always be one of the three items they serve. There will be free cheap wine and beer (barefoot wine brand) . I don’t drink but I heard guests complain it was like drinking vinegar? The walls and doors do not do a good job of silencing the noise. You will hear EVERYTHING the people next to you say and do as with the guests in the hallway too. Was NOT impressed with the cleanliness of their sheets and towels either. Thank goodness I always bring my own! There are not enough luggage carts to accommodate a hotel this big. You WILL be waiting for one, possibly waiting for hours! They do NOT have outgoing mail everyday I was told and if you wish to buy a stamp they are $1.50. Talk about robbery!! They allow pets and if you are not watching where you walk you will step in their pee and poop . We walked around inside and outside the hotel like we were avoiding landmines! This was NOT a pleasant stay. Don’t even ask why I didn’t call IHG to complain as I did and was given a case # and told someone would get back with me in regards to the 2 days with no water but I am still waiting on that phone call and that was 3 1/2 weeks ago. Only good thing is...
Read moreAs always excellent customer service and welcome , remembering my name. The only thing I would change is the dinner service. It tends to get a lot of people crowding around and sometimes the kitchen will run out of what they actually are serving on the night menu. In the majority of times I have stayed there this is a reoccurring issue. From what I have personally witnessed it is because guests that are there for work related things/training (Apple)tend to crowd around and are there exactly at dinner time and are not very polite as in taking one thing and working their way down the line while being courteous of those who are standing/waiting. They go through the line and it looks like they are taking not only stuff for their dinner, but they pack their bags for I’m guessing lunch the next day. This would not be an issue except they should do that after the line has gone through to be courteous of others coming back for seconds/lunch after giving others a chance to be served. This also makes it bad for the actual staff who are preparing the food because it makes them run out early and puts them behind. They then have to come up with other things to serve. This is not their fault at all to top it off. They work so hard, and I never see these “guests” leave a tip ($1.00 even) nor have I seen them...
Read moreWe arrived very late and realized the AC didn’t work. Clearly the equipment had been worked on because the locked equipment door in the bedroom was open. Upon informing the front desk, they came up to check it out. Then said they would send someone up. Finally I had to go downstairs to find they were trying to call other hotels to see if we could shift there. All the hotels were full. By now it’s midnight and Raquel at the front desk is not even communicating with Romeo who just came on shift. He’s trying to figure out which hotels she’s called and she doesn’t even take the time to tell him. We were told we could stay in the hot room and we would get 20k points in our IHG account. Keep in mind this is during the heat wave and we just couldn’t do it. Finally we were sent across the way to the Crowne Plaza and the room was DIRTY! The bed had been made but there was a used towel in the bathroom and no soap. We were so tired we missed the free breakfast because we would have had to go back to Staybridge. Upon speaking with the manager, the room was never supposed to be occupied and there were apparently arrangements to shift guests to another hotel but no one told the desk staff. Really I would have wanted to know before I arrived so I could have gone straight to the other property. Just...
