The first actual place of 2025 for the reviewing… Jun’s Bistro is none like any other place! They take “southeast Asian fusion” to a WHOLE another level, serving Yunnan delicacies that are savory, sweet, spicy… anything you can name it!
(I will say — they actually close doors at 8:30pm, not 9pm, even though it says 9pm on Google and at the door. So if you’re wanting to try this place I’d try to get here and park your car way before 8:30pm.)
Our first time experience at this restaurant was stellar — but I will explain it more in detail when we get there honestly.
Food: 4.5/5
The appetizers and the dishes were all equally distributed when it came to size and plating of the ordered things we had on our things. We had ordered a number of items, including, but not limited to: passion fruit shrimp, stir fry vermicelli, lemongrass pot chicken, and spare ribs stew pot. The passion fruit shrimp was just as equally good as it looks — with greens, and much more. The one thing I wish could’ve improved was the acidity that surrounded the shrimp, but I know that everybody’s preference has may not coincide with people with the similar views. On the other hand, the stirfry vermicelli was very soft and texture, but rich in flavor — it even included vegetables and more. The spareribs stew pot was a little bit too much on the salty side — but the spare ribs had a lot of flavor, and so was the radish and vegetables that were in there. What I had hoped was more broth, taste, and more water honestly.
Service: 5/5
There was a little bit of a waitlist when we got here — but the waitlist went REALLY quick, and servers were really responsive to what we needed on the table. I’d like to say that there was a lot of diversity within staff and assistance — not only were these servers bilingual, but they also had extensive knowledge about each dish that was presented to us. They even accommodate it with the party of four plus an extra chair to make it very careful and with thought.
Big kudos go to them, as it made our party feel welcomed, even after some of them arrived. They also didn’t have a cap on making sure that everybody was present (although it would’ve been normal if there were a lot of people present in on the waitlist).
Atmosphere: 4/5
I really like the atmosphere of this restaurant — especially with the trees that were placed in the middle of the restaurant. It makes us feel as if we’re actually in the forest, surrounded by shrub and grass. What I would’ve wished was the tables could’ve been spread out a little bit more, and more waiting chair, chairs could’ve been placed. Overall, the restaurant did a good job of accommodating to every customer that came in and out of their doors.
This place is expensive, but I would come back for more delicacies in rare appetizers that none other than a fusion restaurant...

Read moreJunn Bistro has popped up in my foodie social media feeds a few times. I can wee why...the food was very good. Interesting decor, lots of Green, I'm not sure if it was due to the Holiday season or if that is just their theme. We waltzed in for an early dinner and were seated right away. I wasn't a fan of the seating arrangement, a bit too close to you neighbors for my liking. Decor is cool. There was no physical menu, use the QR code on a table to place your order.
#ChineseFusion: ~ 芭蕉叶包烧鱼 Banana leaf wrapped seabass - 5/5 The whole Seabass is steamed, head, tail and all topped with some sort of Yellow sauce presented on a Banana leaf. Brilliant! Soft and tender; very good flavor with diced Chilies and Cilantro on the side. There are plenty of bones abound so be careful.
~ 酸腌菜火腿炒肠粉Stir Fry Cheung Fun - 5/5 I'm almost positive this is nothing like a traditional Cheung Fun...I could be wrong, don't quote me. Either way this was delish! Loved the chewy texture and the Garlic flavor, just right, not overpowering. This was also a fair bit bigger than I was expecting.
~ 叻沙菠萝菌菇虾炒饭Laksa Shrimp Fried Rice - 4/5 Fried rice was simple. Perfectly done; not oily or greasy, just right. A good Fried Rice dish with Mushroom, Pineapple and Shrimp topped with an Egg. Good size portion!
No issues returning to try the rest of the menu out. The food portions were bigger than I was expecting. The place was completely packed when we left...with...
