Brew & Banh Mi Cafe has the most diverse menu I’ve seen for a cafe. I love how their menu has so many traditional Vietnamese items. The drinks are priced fairly (~average $7 per drink) and they have many traditional Vietnamese snacks like Banh Mi, Pate Choud, etc. Their service was quick and quality.
Coconut Blended Coffee ($7): My favorite drink from Brew! Strong coconut flavor followed by the bitterness of the coffee. Very creamy but not too sweet.
Phin Coffee w/ Matcha Cloud Foam: Strong but smooth Phin flavored coffee. The matcha cold foam was strongly herbal and surprising.
Soursop Tea: Had soursop bits and strong tea flavor. Super strong flavor that did not resemble soursop, so I would pass on this drink next time.
Sugarcane Juice: Extremely sweet and definitely needs to be diluted with ice.
Pandan Waffle: One of the best pandan waffles I’ve had in a while! They make the waffle fresh in house. The batter has a mochi-like consistency that is chewy but crispy on the outside. It was not too sweet which I personally enjoy and paired well with its fresh warmth and my coconut coffee.
Their diverse menu keeps me interested and motivated to come back – I’m looking forward to trying the other drinks to find my new favorite soon! They are a newer cafe and seem to be experimenting with their drinks but with time I’m sure they will find...
Read moreI anticipate the rating could have been a bit higher if I had visited couple of months later, but here’s how it is now.
The good stuff The drinks are actually delicious. I had the caramel coffee and it was soo good.
Unfortunately, the good stuff ends here.
The bad stuff. Before I get into it, I want to preface that I think most of these are teething issues since the cafe is still pretty new and hopefully things will get better.
I visited the cafe when there were only a couple of folks in the cafe and still it took my drink 30 minutes to arrive. I actually had to go and hover around the counter and had to ask them to prioritise my drink. 30 minutes for a coffee is neither standard nor acceptable.
It’s very expensive. I paid almost 9 dollars( including tip) for a 12 ounce latte. Should have been max 6-7.
The place is unkempt. Although the decor looks modern and is thoughtful, they just have a bunch of cartons with supply lying throughout the cafe. Not sure if they don’t have a storeroom or something, but just random cartons on the floor is not a good look.
My advice would be to wait it out and maybe visit couple of months later when they have sorted...
Read moreCame to check out the place, it’s sort of small and cozy than I thought it would be! Not to mention in the same Chevron gas station! It’s kind of cool! Very modern and sleek atmosphere. The drinks I got were Egg Foam Coffee and Brown Sugar Milk Tea (in lieu for Taro Milk Tea since they ran out, including black bobas), they are both alright and easy to drink! They don’t lack in anything but it’s just my taste buds that I probably don’t like the flavor for brown sugar milk tea. Egg foam is not too thick or thin on the consistency! But banh mi pork floss is so delicious, had it for lunch!
Pros: Kiosk order and cashier Lots of items Cool atmosphere Lots of seatings Mini bakery section Yummy banh mi Nice employees
Cons: Lack of inventory Has “sold out” or ran out of ingredients/items Some tables not cleaned Slow service but not too slow Promo code, can’t input anywhere on...
