Morro Bay Beach Inn — Hotel in Morro Bay

This cozy in is located in the heart of Morro Bay. The owner was very respectful and even tried to help me with a discount if I paid cash. Stay here and you have easy access to almost everything in entertainment Morro Bay has to offer. Just from walking distance you can see and get to Morro Bay Rock, local restaurants, local convenience stores, public parks, and much more. If you're in town for a day or two by passing through or just to vacay here and have become vigilant with your wallet, this is a spot to consider. Convenient for work or leisure.

The inn was renovated in 2016 and the rooms still look presentable. They are clean and organized. The room, 202, that my family and I stayed in is a comfortable and spacious room. There were two clean, soft, and well prepared queen size beds, a table with two well sized and office-like chairs, a well sized television with working channels, the dresser it's sitting on had three drawers, a refrigerator and microwave, there is an iron board and iron hanging on the wall. The restroom is split with the sink and wide mirror apart from the well sized private toilet and shower space/room that has a convenient window to vent out.

Overall, our stay was convenient, fun, and relaxing. We are looking forward to having another opportunity to visit here again! Hope you get lucky like us if you are considering...

Stay at your own risk… I legit thought I was crazy for thinking so poorly of this place after reading the Google reviews. I went and looked at the reviews on Yelp and confirmed it wasn’t just me…. First of all. Staff was RUDE. I was here during the week for a work trip. I work swing shifts and get off pretty late. I received multiple calls from staff asking when I was going to check in. I wasn’t bothered by them asking that but their tone was unpleasant. I finally arrive and check in and the male working couldn’t be anymore rude. I don’t even care about that though… When I saw my room it GROSSED me out to no end. It smelled so bad. The bedding had stains on it and had holes like someone put out a cigarette on it. The towels were old and had brown and orange stains. The tub was flooding.. Needless to say.. it was a long and uncomfortable night. I didn’t sleep. Wouldn’t recommend. Read Yelp reviews before booking!!!!

To start off, the owner is a joyous person and very welcoming. He wasn't so joyous and welcoming after I told him I found a bed bug on their light shade. I told him about the bed bug and want a refund of my money. He said he was not going to refund my money because it is 2am and I already spent the day in the room. We were arguing for a few minutes about my refund and he said he will not process my payment since I booked the room online. Well, that was a lie because when I saw my online credit card, it was already being processed. I called the credit card company to stop the payment but they couldn't do anything about it. They told me to contact the inn to reverse the payment. I called them during business hours, like 10 am today and talked about reversing the money back. He said he will not because I already used the facilities and they did not find any bed bug. We were arguing again on the phone for a few more minutes. We came to an agreement of just reversing only half my money back. This weekend was supposed to be a relaxing weekend but it just turned into...
