If I could give this place less then 1 star I would. The service is horrible. The bar tender told us it would be a minute before our first round which was fine. When it came to the second round he didn’t even remember who we were. He asked me if was served yet, (Um, yes I have, by you) so I ordered our second round (bf and I) and he couldn’t remember what we ordered for our first round, probably because he was taking shots with the other customers ALL AROUND US, as if we didn’t exist. He asked what we were drinking and I told him... he brought our “second round” and apparently didn’t remember he took our credit card to hold on tab. I told him the name and he could find it. After some back and forth and some questions as to who we even were, he realized we were the H&R Block customers (bf got a card for doing his taxes with H&R Block) and proceeded to shout it out amongst everyone laughing and calling me”Mrs H&R Block” the rest of our visit. We were on vacation and wanted to enjoy a night at a local bar but instead felt neglected and humiliated in front of everybody for the type of card we used to pay. Not to mention, an employee who was off duty, came in with her bf and had drinks and food, also laughed at our expense (pink hair in a ponytail) not only did she laugh at our expense but she did shots with all the bar tenders and reached over the counter to grab a fork for her food exposing all germs she had to the rest of the silverware. No one stopped her and the bartenders appeared drunk and aloof to their surroundings. The place was packed and nobody wore a mask or abided to the CVC health standards. What really made the night off the charts was we asked multiple times about the food and ordering Togo, apparently the cut off time was 10:00 and nobody made us aware of this. If you’re not hot and basically naked or a local or an employee this place gives the worst standards of what customer service should be. And your bartenders will most likely be drunk and forget who you are entirely leaving you wanting another drink with no care but their...
Read moreThis place would have 5 stars if not for the seating. Disabled people like music too. At one point I saw an employee come get a friend from the line to go in early. The friend was nice and said, "Thanks man." Meanwhile my father couldn't get anything but a stool. It was so incredibly hard for him to climb up on it. He hates going out b/c he worries about losing more dignity, embarrassment and causing a fuss. I talked him into it. The first time in 4 years he's gone. We all enjoyed the show. We had to leave early though bc my Father couldn't handle the pain any more. I am also handicap and it was very uncomfortable. I find it unbelievable that my 76 yr old father had to sit in the most uncomfortable way possible while being jostled by the dance floor. Why are there able bodied people getting seats with backs? It broke my heart watching my Dad trying to act like everything was ok. Even sitting where we were we couldn't see the band so why not have the option to get a chair with a back to it?
Got a reply from the Siren saying they never thought they'd get a negative review for bringing in a big act. They also claim to be compliant with ADA regulations. Seems dicey to be lying when there were so many people witnessing the struggle and pain of two handicap people and someone brought along to help if there was a fall. I myself spoke to a woman, and a man, at the door as well as multiple people in line. You do NOT follow ADA regulations. Not one person had an answer when I asked. The audacity of the employees who wrote the response is a testament to the lackadaisical and outright rude attitudes of staff. *Patrons who helped my Father, thank you. He was very embarrassed but you made it easy for him. Guy in a straw hat and tall blonde guy. You 2 especially. Of course we enjoyed the...
Read moreWe visited Morro Bay for a quick weekend getaway to celebrate our wedding anniversary and being that both of us are huge football fans, we wanted a place to enjoy the games and have a bite to eat and a drink or two. I found The Siren while searching for places that would be showing football. We were both really surprised when we walked in because they had all the nfl games showing on their plethora of big screens!
Seating was first come, first serve. Ordering drinks and food was done at the bar, as we didn't have a server, but the bartenders were very attentive and didn't gloss over me like some other establishments. They had a decent selection of brew. No pitchers but they had pints.
The food was amazing! We had the lemon-pepper dry rubbed wings and the gouda-bacon-fig grilled cheese, which was one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches we've ever eaten!
The building itself was very spacious, even as it was fully set up for dining. There is a dj booth and a stage for live performance- we didn't stay for the band this evening but you could tell that it gets poppin up in there based on the way it is setup with a dance floor and plenty of open space once the furniture gets removed. I like how they had posters of all the past artists on the artist wall!
The back patio features a huge fire-pit, nice trees for some shade, giant board games like connect/4, a big screen TV, tables and chairs. There is also a billiards table inside the building. Bathrooms were kept clean too.
The Siren is definitely on our list of places to patronize when we...
