This is your chance to be immersed in nature. It sits right across from the Bay and protected areas. The facility is great as far as space between sites, newer bathrooms with showers. The group camping area is situated higher than the entire camp, overseeing the marsh, Bay, and surrounding hills. The check-in was a breeze and the staff is great and friendly. If you like nature, this is a great location. The trees alone make for a great opportunity to be in nature. I had the opportunity to see many, many different birds, including owls...and whether it's during the day or night, you will feel one with nature.

Really liked visiting Morro bay. It felt very laid back and less touristy than other beach areas. Lots to do. I would even advise going downtown. There are some quaint shops and a really cool book shop (which even has it's own wedding chapel!)

This is a beautiful Bay, so many unique shops and the Mariners Museum was open on Thanksgiving, what a sweet Lady that was giving her day for all of us travelers to enjoy, also the sea otters were so adorable to watch off the pier

It's located at a very busy intersection if the small beach town but all the surrounding grass is very inviting!! The City & County bus lines meet up here as well but it appears they contribute nothing towards improving or maintaining any part of the grounds, cement covered waiting area, drinking fountains or sidewalks because they are usually filthy & debris blowing around. There is a large sandy play area towards the back of the park, half fenced w'benches for supervising children & a small cement building w'a single steel toilet on both sides, no trash can inside & the nasty sink w'excellent water pressure is located in between the 2 toilet rooms which is also cement w'no soap or any way to dry your hands!? This particular facility is perfect for a beach side community because you just hose it all down & it air dries. However simple they don't put much effort there. The grass, trees, tables, walkways & playground equipment is nicely maintained...

I work for Transit so I only visit when I stop at the bus stop. The bathrooms are definitely not the best. I wouldn't want any of my female family to have to use the restroom there. Though I have never been bothered, there are quite a few homeless that hangout around the park. The playground is alright, however my wife is nervous with all the homeless people, and busyness with transit, so she doesn't feel safe with little ones. Maybe if they were older it would be alright. Not our first choice, actually it doesn't even...
