Wow! What a treat this place was! First off, the service was very friendly and quick. Staff helped us pick from the menu of delicious options. Every bowl that arrived was beautifully arranged with incredibly fresh, colorful and flavorful ingredients. We sat outside in the quiet and cute patio and enjoyed the okie pokey bowl (yes this IS what it’s all about!), a rock shoyu ramen bowl (the pork was to die for) and a beef bulgogi bowl with just the right amount of spice. My okie pokey bowl had the most exquisite blend of spices and sauces with so much ahi that I almost couldn’t finish it. Big portions. So healthy. A variety of spices in different dishes that are artfully combined. I sure wish I lived locally because this would be a regular favorite for me if I did.

We stopped by to watch sea otters, and this was the perfect place for a light, refreshing meal on a road trip. The poke bowl was absolutely good — fresh, flavorful, and a generous portion. I usually don’t like ginger or onion, but their pickled ginger and onions were good. (But they put too much in one bowl. ) The salad was a nice surprise — super fresh and exactly what I needed after days without enough veggies. I wish I had asked for less sauce, but that’s just my preference since I usually eat lighter on dressing. For most people, it’d probably be just right. The sauce is also good. Note: this is a more self-serving place, at least at lunchtime. I don’t mind and even enjoy it. The only staff/owner in the dining area is also very helpful.

During our visit to Chowa Bowl, we were absolutely delighted by the experience. We tried the Rock Shoyu Ramen, and it was nothing short of exceptional. Delicious and flavorful with fresh, quality ingredients that made each bite a pleasure. The service was authentically warm, adding to the overall fantastic dining experience. The atmosphere was inviting and intimate, making it a perfect spot for a cozy meal. Additionally, the restaurant was impeccably clean, which added on to the awesome experience of our visit. I 10/10 recommend Chowa Bowl and am looking forward to our next visit!

I truly love poke and I thought I would give this place a try. I tried the poke bowl and it was very bland, apart from a little salty. This poke recipe had less ingredients than others that I've tried. I have had much tastier poke for a lot less money this. The bowl was $19 and it definitely was not worth what I paid. Also, I called several times and a recording came on that said voicemail had not been set up yet. I wasn't even sure if this place was still open but I decided to drive over and see for myself. While I was waiting for my order I noticed that the cashier was taking phone orders but when I left the store I tried calling again on a different phone and the call was not answered, I'm not sure why. Perhaps they are not able to handle the call volume. I wish it would have been a better experience as I said poke is one of my...

I’m visiting from Boston and had the pleasure of dining at Chowa Bowl in Morro Bay with family and I’m already planning to go back today! This place is a gem.

The food was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. As a group, we tried the Poke, Bulgogi Bowl, Burrata Salad, Ramen. Every dish was bursting with flavor and made with such care. I had the Bulgogi Bowl with Grilled Filet Mignon skewers and the meat was tender, perfectly grilled, and so delicious.

The service was just as wonderful, warm, welcoming, and super fast. The whole place has a clean, inviting vibe and is clearly run by people who care about quality.

I only wish I lived closer, I would be here every day. We are actually going back to day. Don’t miss this spot if you’re in the area. A truly memorable...

The Rock Shoyu Ramen was incredibly delicious and unique, the broth had an intense spice fragrance that reminded us of Chinese or Vietnamese beef stews and the noodles had a chewy handmade texture (not sure if it was actually handmade, would be cool if it is) and the pork tender and melt in the mouth. The Okie Pokie was very tasty and fresh. However for the price at $16.50, especially the ramen, there should be more veges, garnish or pickles, it's very spare for the price, just I small piece of seaweed, a piece of pork and half an egg. Also, no GF noodle options.

I did read that they are trying to buy local veges and seafood (hopefully meat too!) and I hope that continues as it's a big plus. We enjoy small food places with a creative twist and this is a refreshing...
