Stay Away!!!! When we arrived, the parking lot looked terrible - trash everywhere, and it is tiny. There are several cameras, but many of them don't work on the premises. We got an ocean view king room, but couldn't see the ocean - just the palm trees. We asked the lady st the front (Britney), if we could upgrade to a room with a balconey. It was her first day, so she called a supervisor and asked how to do it, and upgraded. She told me to go check the room to see if it was one I liked, so I did, and asked for a higher up room (this was a limited view bc of trees as well). So we went with the 5th floor. When we entered the room, there was a musty smell. The bathrooms are teeny tiny and were dirty. The balconey sliding door did not open properly. You basically had to pick the door up off of its sliding track to get out to the balconey. Very dangerous if we would've had kids there. The AC took forever to cool the room (several hours) and was very loud all night. The wifi doesn't work. The receptionist gave me a wifi guest services phone number to call (basically a guy at his house that apparently runs the internet - IT guy I guess). After 2 attempts, he called back and tried almost half an hour to figure out why our iPhones wouldn't connect to any of the 10 wifi networks available. He couldn't get anything fixed, was very rude and short, and said there was nothing else he could do. He was absolutely no help, and the hotel needs to hire another IT person that has knowledge about wifi. The floors in the room were dirty, and there were dust bunnies everywhere. The room hasn't been dusted in what looked like forever. The bathroom (sink and toilet) were disgusting. Black hairs were all over the toilet and sink, and the faucet was gross with old spit on it where someone before us spit or something. Luckily I brought Clorox wipes and Lysol, and was able to spray everything down and clean. There are only 2 plugins for electronics. The "clean" towels had black hairs all in them. The pool was disgusting, and looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in months. The "nonsmoking" hotel had cigarette and ash trays right outside the rooms next to the stairs. Trash and broken bottles were everywhere. This is a "pet friendly" hotel, but there is nowhere for pets to use the restroom. The very tiny grassy area (more like a walkway to the beach that is rundown) was full of trash, cigarette butts, and broken bottles, so no dogs could safely use this area for a bathroom area. The hotel room doors do not have a safety lock, so there's no other lock on the door other than the one on the handle. There is also no "peep hole," so you can't see who is at your door without opening the door. This hotel is rundown and seems to be in a rough area. Also, the bathroom tub was clogged, and the light flickered. The "new" beds were hard as a rock. I gave one star because I had to. The ONLY good things were the positive attitude of the front desk worker (Britney), and the beach access. Other than that, there are no good things, and I'd encourage you to find another hotel to stay at. Photos on the website are downright wrong - those pictures are nothing like what you're gonna get. I hope nothing else goes wrong during our 4 night stay - it's only the...
Read moreHorrendous Is the word to best describe this “place” I wouldn’t even give it the courtesy of calling it a motel. The staff who I thought were guests by look of appearance and attitude we’re rude and disrespectful. Once entering my room I walked in to pee on the toilet seat, hairs all over the bedsheets as well as makeup stains on the bedsheets. Me and my friend that I was staying with went to the front lobby and right away informed the staff of the situation they told me and my friend to stay upstairs as they went in our room to look at what we were talking about, they cleaned up the pee and did nothing else, the hairs were still on the bed and the makeup there as well, they didn’t even offer us new bedsheets! After that we left and went on the boardwalk for the rest of the night, we while on the boardwalk decided we shouldn’t stay the night there, however we booked through bookings.com and there is a no refund policy, so I called them they were extremely apologetic about the whole experience and told me to go check out do not stay the night and once they contact the place the following day to confirm we didn’t stay the night we would get a full refund. That is exactly what we did we walked back to the place grabbed our belongings, and checked out. The next day I called bookings.com to clarify when I would be getting my refund and they said after getting in contact with the place, the place reported that we did in fact stay the night and never checked out…. Fraud! I called my bank and had the charge stopped for I had not stayed the night, and angry, upset and hurt I called the place asking about there security cameras the lady on the phone asked me when this was trying to get a specific date and told me that they clear there cameras almost every day… BS. It was terrible, looking through the reviews which I’ve should have done without ever booking, is that it’s not just be with these terrible experiences, and sadly the “manager” seems to write the same passive aggressive responses that helps no one. If there was a negative one star it would be for this place, and it’s disappointing that I’m not even exaggerating. BBB had already been contacted about this. I suggest you do not stay here and if you do stay armed, and bring...
Read moreThis place isn’t bad for the money and they allow pets however there’s a lot to be updated in order to get the full five stars. •elevator is very slow •dog area is small with no grass (some dogs enjoy grass some don’t) •security system isn’t updated •air conditioning didn’t properly work (room 405) •repairs made around the hotel were half way done correctly •bathrooms were very small •you have to order your towels and toiletries by 12 o clock and you’re lucky to get them before 3 (we luckily never had an issue) the towels and sheets are locked up once the cleaning staff leaves which means you have to wait over night which is ridiculous and they don’t communicate with each other very well or as I seen, like yeah it’d be fine if they left a room of supplies for the staff to enter and they lock there station up but no they leave only what’s ordered or your out of luck, luckily the staff did have toilet paper and cleaning supplies on hand at all times! •beds were uneasy, not too comfortable
What we did enjoy was •pet friendly •decently clean rooms/no bugs or rodents •everything worked (electronics and etc) •decently lit outside area (could use a couple more lights but better than some hotels) •HOT water •not a lot of riff raff at night unless you went down stairs where the workers had there friends over but they were respectful and not loud enough to be heard in the rooms •pool was ok, had to clean it out a time or two from guests throwing trash in it. Also the 5 1/2 part was 6ft some how? •rooms weren’t outdated, fairly decent •snack and drink machines were nice (the room they were in just stunk) •friendly and fast service •smaller hotel so it wasn’t crowded •great shower pressure •close to a-lot of amenities
Also if you plan a trip here enjoy your weed and cigarettes on your balcony or at the beach, no one wants to pay a $250 fee for you to enjoy yourself..
We will be booking here again in the future, just like everything else in the world nothings perfect but this is defiantly one of the better hotels on...
