We had a party of ten to celebrate my grandsons second birthday tonight at this restaurant. We had reservations and arrived on time. The place was not packed and plenty of tables open. The from staff never greeted us with even a hello and stared blankly at us and Infilled in the blanks. It took them nearly twenty minutes to seat us. Never a smile. Never a welcome. Nothing. Like it was an inconvenience that we were there.
We sat and waited another twenty minutes for a server who finally arrived and asked if we “would make it easier for her” and order the way we were instructed. Easy for her? We are the customers…make it easy for us! She took out drink orders and appetizer orders. Had to repeat several times to the point of frustration. She brought the drinks a few at a times and by the time everyone had their drinks, the first served were having to order another round. Ten minutes later, appetizers arrived, no plates on the table. Asked for plates and after 10 more minutes, people were using napkins as plates as the apps were getting cold.
Plates arrived after 3/4 of the apps were consumed. Placing the meal order was painful at best. There was an obvious language barrier and not one person was able to order without repeating it several times. At this point I asked if there was a manager on duty and was directed to a guy behind the bar who had the empathy of a rock. Said he would make things right. Never did a thing.
The ambiance was ok for kids and the two Kids had fun as the adults suffered through poor service. The food was okay, seasoned well. Salmon dry, chicken dry and the ribs average. I refused my order as the silverware was ugly and we actually asked for hot water to clean the utensils before anyone felt safe to use them. No salt or pepper on table. No ketchup so I walked around the place scavenging these items from vacated tables.
The magician they had was the only high point of the evening!
I was told by one of the ladies In the group that the female rest room was dirty. One stall door had no lock and another had no seat. The men’s room was disgusting.
The cheapest thing on the menu was a 22 dollar hamburger. Are you kidding?
Nothing was done to our knowledge to correct these things and nothing taken off the bill. No apology. Nothing. Would Not recommend this place to anyone as it is over priced and there is no concern for the paying customer. No one working there looked happy. Prisoners get better service. Definitely not...
Read moreDinosaurs are extinct. Evolution removed them from the earth for a definitive reason, and if the quality of food, the extremely high prices, and the awkward atmosphere doesn’t change, DinoLand Cafe will be extinct too. I have no issue paying for quality food, but $15 for 3 sodas, $19 for a pizza that looks like Chef Boyardee put it together—coming in at a whopping $34 for roasted chicken that claims to be “marinated for 12 hours” but tasted like it had been cooked and kept warm for 12 hours—turned out not to be even good, greasy, and overall bad. The side of mashed potatoes looks instant, served cold, and would gag a buzzard. My bacon cheeseburger was $24! My pinky finger is thicker than this patty. Cooked well done, dry, and just overall bad tasting. French fries, cold and nothing to go crazy about. We had salads arrive at our table, which were normal salads, and then 10 seconds later, here come the entrees. That’s not right, and basic restaurant 101. Also, how do you cook a well-done burger, a quarter chicken, and pizza in 6–8 minutes?! Meanwhile, the bartender is practicing his “flare” with a glass bottle with liquor in it! I could care less, but they make plastic bottles for this purpose. Also, how much flare do you need bartending at a kid-themed restaurant?! The bartender also substitutes as the DJ, playing awkward K-pop music—so weird. But when he’s not busy throwing around half bottles of Tito’s and playing strange girly K-pop songs, he also comes by your table to take your picture. But what for? He took our picture, but nothing came of it. Very uncomfortable about that now. “Let me take your picture!” I was expecting a picture of you and your family at this overpriced restaurant eating old, nasty food—for $90—but no, that never happened. The cherry on top was our waitress, who was adorable and very nice, but I’ll leave her name out because I don’t want her held responsible for the management’s poor decisions. She asked me if I left a 5-star review on Google before they brought me my bill; they would take 5% off. So, a $100.00 tab without tip, and you’re going to take 5% off?!? Hey DinoLand, I wouldn’t leave you a 5-star review if you paid me and gave me my crappy meal for free. So, unless you enjoy paying way too much money for yesterday’s food in a weird and uncomfortable place, I would recommend going anywhere else—anywhere! I’m currently chugging Pepto and...
Read moreFor starters I've been trying to reach the general manager. You can never get anyone to answer. It sends you to a voicemail for a whole different number. To top it off I had a horrible experience on April 13, 2024. Yes I've been trying to get a call back since April 13. This was our first visit and we ended up getting a trainee which was fine, however we never saw the trainer didn't even know who Jeff was until I asked Tiffany. We had gotten our drinks and appetizers before I asked her how she liked the job so far. Jeff then came over to her grabbed her arm and asked what we were talking about. Tiffany put her head down and asked if we needed anything else I then decided to step in and ask for a manager. A very sweet lady whose name I didn't catch said she was basically a shift lead and I felt comfortable having her handle my problem. I told her about Jeff and she apologized I'm not sure what exactly was said but when my food came out Jeff finally came over to the table. Tiffany handed my husband his food and Jeff handed me mine. He then tried to talk and I said sir I have nothing to say to you will you please leave my table. Jeff then with his hands balled walked closer on top of me and said so you aren't going to listen to what I have to say. I then replied sir I said I have nothing to say now please leave. Jeff hovered over me and I then yelled at this point to please leave my table. The shift lead rushed over and had to push Jeff away from the table and he still tried to come back towards me until my husband yelled for him to back off of his wife. I really felt sorry for the shift lead to have to deal with a employee like that. Jeff's focus was on the party of maybe 8 he had that came in before us. Tiffany was a excellent server and whoever the shift lead was was great. Even when my two year old was terrified of the dinosaur at the table she came over to check on him. Jeff then went to the host stand and began talking to the host about me. He started pointing at my table and when the host noticed I was watching she turned her back. When asked if we wanted a discount I refused because overall the food was good. My server Tiffany was great and the shift lead was great. Jeff however needs to be held accountable his actions and I've been trying make sure Tiffany and the shift lead got the acknowledgment they deserved. Nobody answers the phone here I've been...
