My husband and I just got back around the middle of June we have never been to Myrtle Beach & was excited & looking forward to it, after reading previous reviews we were nervous & even checked out other hotels around where our family members booked but they were on the beach 🏖 we couldn't afford that, so we came prepared w/bug spray & stuff & to our surprise 😲 there were none & we didn't need it, & I give 3 stars for that alone, let's just say they need to continue to repair & improve the building & rooms , The Pro's : The sheets & beds was clean & comfortable, clean towels, hot water, the air conditioning worked great, 4 stars for The staff the front desk was friendly, the housekeeper on the 4th floor area where we stayed was nice & didn't disturb us like most do they knock on doors even with the do not disturb sign, she didn't & when I needed more coffee packs ☕ 1 day she was nice about giving to me, the Fridge, microwave, & coffee pot was clean, T V worked good, the pool was clean, The Cons: The elevator worked, but slow & they need a bath rug or something in it for the wet floor so people don't slip & fall, & our floors & carpet in our room always felt damp moist & sticky & we think the carpet needed to be cleaned I was a little worried about mold under it, as I coughed a lot in our room, & Paint can't hide everything, it made our room door stick & you had to pull & push hard to open & close the door, chipped & cracked paint on the balcony & in the bathroom ceiling, hopefully didn't get lead poisoning, & our bathroom door had a crack & wouldn't open wide you had to use a stick to put in the track of the sliding doors of the balcony to lock it, the outside cover to the air conditioning was off, traffic was noisy outside but we had ear plugs to sleep, All & all it looked liked they are trying, if your passing thru it's OK to stay for a couple night's, if they keep improving & remodeling & repairing we will go back. I have pic's I wish I could post, but you can use your...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! I have never written a review in my life but I feel the need to warn people about this place. My friend and I planned to stay at Quail Inn and Suites in Myrtle Beach and we have never had a worse experience with a hotel. Upon arrival, my friend and I immediately did not feel safe. When we walked into our room, our porch door was wide open, the sheets did not appear clean, there was a chair being propped up to keep a door (to what we assume was another room) closed, and there were bugs. The hotel was not as advertised and we immediately knew we could not stay here, as we did not feel safe at all. We tried to call down to the front desk to cancel our reservation and the phone in our room was not working. This freaked us out even more. We called at least 5 times until the front desk associate had to call my cell phone.
We did not get the name of the front desk associate that evening but she was incredibly helpful and was the only positive from our experience. We explained to her the situation and she reassured us that we would get a full, 100% refund the next day. However, we never got that refund - we didn’t even get a partial refund. I sent an email to the hotel the next day explaining our situation and asking for proof of the refund and never got a response. I called the hotel and asked to speak to the general manager, and she said that our situation did not qualify for a refund, and that this was simply considered an “early check out”, regardless of what we were promised by the front desk associate and regardless of the fact that we felt so unsafe there that we were in and out within the hour.
We are so disappointed in this hotel, their response to this situation, and their unwillingness to work with us on this problem. As a paying guest, we deserve to feel safe. When we were told we would get a refund, we left and found another hotel, and now we have found ourselves paying so much more than we anticipated. Please do not waste...
Read moreBooked this room over a month in advance, got a suite , room 800, on the very top, opened the curtains in the master and opened the sliding glass door and step on to the balcony and immediately stepped on the soaked “carpet “ they have on it, the floor underneath it is rotting, my kids and I couldn’t even enjoy the view bc it’s not safe to go out there, the air conditioner was leaking and the maintenance man said he wasn’t gonna fix it till I leave since my kids can’t go out. The maids only come to my room twice in 4 days, the sheets weren’t changed the whole time , nothing. I had to go out in hall when I heard them out in the hall to clean the only other suite up there. If you want to have a good vacation, no issues then stay anywhere but here. When I told the night guy about the patio floor issue he acted like he couldn’t help. The first day after check in I had to go down stairs and show the pictures so we didn’t get charged for it. Hole in the door, the wall paper peeling, not worth the price they are charging. Not only that they told us no smoking in the room, but everyone including staff was seen smoking in places that weren’t approved. I sit and watched 3 staff members sit at the back door in the corner at I guess their smoking area, watched them all pass a blunt around. The elevator takes forever not to mention we got stuck in it . Don’t ever come here unless you want bed bugs and problems. Their rooftop rooms aren’t up to code, and not safe at all . But I will say the guy that checked us in as well as the one that checked us out, they were great., the employees sitting in a corner smoking weed, .the pics you have on your website advertising for the room we rented , isn’t even the same color of carpet, and that’s false advertisement it’s just a lot that went wrong, and if the hotel wouldn’t have cost so much, then it would be one thing. But they are changing you way too much, for all the issues . We left two days early bc...
