The room was OK. The "resort" is an older building and has a lot of wear! The outside is painted a yellow color but you can see Grey patches where the building has been repaired (probably from hurricanes) but not repainted. The parking is not great. There is very few parking places in the front of the building. There is a parking garage but the parking places are very tight. The lines aren't clearly marked for the parking places so some people don't really park correctly in the parking place. There are 2 poles and in between the 2 poles, there is 3 parking spots in most places in the parking garage. But again, it's a very tight fit. The parking garage is also very old and worn. I was never alone, but I wouldn't want to have to be alone at night in there. It's creepy! As far as the room goes, it was decent. The tub could have used some extra cleaning as well as the floors. My feet were black after walking barefoot in the room. We had a small stove, refrigerator, and kitchen sink with a coffee maker. The dishes (plates, saucers, cups, coffee mugs, forks/spoons, and cooking utensils) were provided for cooking a meal. The bed and pillows were ok as far as comfort goes. They were typical hotel style pillows and beds. We also had a TV in the room which was nice for watching TV after a long day at the beach. My favorite part of the room was the balcony and the view! You are right on thebeach! We did have trouble with the sliding glass door not wanting to close because it came off track. I immediately called down to the front desk and within minutes the maintenance man was up in our room to fix it. The worst thing about this place was the outdoor pool was NOT open! We were told that there was a small "water park" across the road we could use and we had access to the indoor pool. Well the Waterpark consisted of a "lazy river" that was only about 1/2 way full and there were debris like leaves all in the water. You could tell it doesn't get cleaned often. There was also a 1 1/2ft baby pool area with a large Mushroom like water fall fixture in the middle of it. There is also a round slide that looked very small and the inside looked very dirty! We would not use it. There were also 2 small baby/child slides going into this water as well. On Saturday we were told the indoor pool was closed for maintenance so we didn't even get to enjoy it! I guess at the end of the day you get what you pay for. This room got the job done and gave us a place to stay at a decent price. But I won't be staying here again and I honestly wouldn't recommend this place to...
Read moreFrom booking to check in and check out, easy process with clear instructions. The manager, Bev, is available and helpful. The apartment itself is well kept and everything was working great. Even the shower was no issue. Most major hotels I go to there is always an issue with the shower or a/c ! Not with this unit. The view was perfect from the balcony. They may want to consider keeping extra blankets and pillows in the drawers. There is also no closet to hang your clothes if you need it. Yes, the building needs some love and care. It’s falling apart but that is with the whole Myrtle Beach, honestly. The city is rundown and should have a budget for tourism. The building also has an issue with parking. There is only two areas closest to the building and then the other lot is across the street. At night, there is No Parking! The location however is close to neighborhood Walmart, airport, lovely beach, and restaurants. I would book again because of Beach Life and Bev. They care for their units and...
Read moreThe room was great that we stayed in. And it was great that they allow for a couple nights instead of having a minimum of 4 like other places. There were some downsides of our room though. When people would leave out the exit door on the ground floor the door would slam and rattle the whole wall. The floors were a bit dirty. I walked on them barefoot and my feet were black. I’ve seen other people say that as well. Also, this hotel is the sea mist hotel which I didn’t know before hand. I guess they have new management and that’s why they renamed it? The outside of the building looks run down but our room did make up for that by having been recently remodeled. Also we were on the ground floor so we could walk out of our room and be right onto the beach. My host was Beverly and she was quick to respond to my phone calls if she didn’t answer. The pictures are from Airbnb but they are reliable. I did book the room from the website but you can also...
