My wife and I have been coming here since our first date, and most recently we celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary here. To only give this place 5 stars is an understatement. From the atmosphere, the service, the chefs and everything in between, Avo is the only restaurant we'll go to. As vegans, Avo gives us the ability to relax and enjoy a high quality meal while not having to worry about compromising our standards. Their food is always fresh; their menu is always rotating, so new flavors are always getting added. Recently, we had the opportunity to experience almost the entire Hey Hey Eats menu, and my wife and I agreed that it is the best Asian Fusion food we have ever had. Since we've been coming here, we've been blessed to be able to get to know some of the staff more personally. Specifically, the head chef James made my experience the past two times dining the best I have ever had. I had asked our waitress if the chef the day of our anniversary could make a sauce to go with my Sichuan Citrus Butter Vermicelli (James had once before made a "secret sauce" for this dish for me, and it was so amazing I raved about it to a few of the waitresses that day.), and when we arrived for our anniversary dinner, our waitress brought out two sauces that James had made for us as an anniversary gift. This was such a thoughtful gesture that truly made my wife and I realize how wonderful of people work at Avo. We were also so grateful to have Ewey as our waitress for the past three times we've eaten here. Her kindness, attentiveness, and relatability was so refreshing that we found ourselves requesting for her to be our waitress after the first time she waited on us. Overall, my wife and I knew that Avo would always hold a special place in our hearts, though our most recent experiences have exceeded our expectations so that we will always recommend Avo to anyone wanting a restaurant that serves high quality food and feels like home.
Personally to the owner, my wife and I would like to thank you for your beautiful creation of a restaurant. Without Avo, we wouldn't have some of our most cherished memories. Avo is truly a blessing.

Read moreEasily the most disrespected I’ve ever felt in a restaurant. I’ve been supporting them for seven years and this was our first time at the new location. Walked in and was asked if we had a reservation, I said ‘no do we need one?’ Hostess: “no but it’s recommended as we can get busy, but we have an open table for you” then she sits us down and we proceed to wait for THIRTY MINUTES with not even as much as a word from any of the servers. Multiple servers walked right past us and didn’t even look at us. Then I notice one server literally chatting about her boyfriend for 10 minutes at the table beside us. Finally we just decided to leave as my girlfriend was already in tears because this was our first date in a while and she felt so disrespected. As we were leaving she said something to a server about reservations and they literally laughed and said “you don’t need reservations here” while still laughing.
Long story short, it seems that the snobby West End mentality has taken hold here. I grew up around those kind of people so it takes a lot for me to say that. Maybe our clothes weren’t nice enough to be treated like paying customers. Their loss… we both work in the service industry and definitely we’re about to tip much higher than the industry standard. No longer supporting...
Read moreAvo is exactly what it's hyped up to be... The food was delicious... We shared the cauliflower lemon pepper wings, vegan crab cakes, and a vegan burger. The wings were def 5/5. The seasoning, breading, texture, and flavor are the best version of vegan chicken I have had to date. The vegan crab cakes were a 4/5 for me... I've never had crab cakes so there was nothing to compare it too in my experience... The delivery was exceptional... It came with crisped potato strings and a type of coleslaw... But it didn't wow me with flavor at all... The vegan burger was well delivered and prepared but like most vegan burgers, in my experience, it fell apart pretty easily... 5/5 for me simply bc I've yet to have a vegan burger within a restaurant that didn't fall apart before I finished it... Now the show stopper was the muddaphukin beet ketchup... I don't know how they did it... I don't know why they did it, but because they did it... I am a happy man! This stuff is magnif-daphuck-sent... ALL CAPS! And the fries were like Micky Ds but better and I know I shouldn't be eatin dem shids ... But still... The muddaphukin beet kachup... "I meant what I typed" ... Is that drip! It's...
