My first experience of buying a cinnamon roll was not what I had expected. I was disappointed that The store was closed the day I stopped by. But There was a sign posted that the rolls were available to purchase at "the Ordinary" restaurant. I was a bit surprised by the price they charged, it was a bit more from what the store charges. Being the first time buying one I was a bit confused about the price difference. It was a large roll but not sure if I'd be buying any more for the price I had paid. I contacted the store, and I learned that a business that serves their cinnamon rolls can also decide what they want to charge for them. I'm only adding this into my review because it is good to know if you should get one of their cinnamon rolls at another local business. My granddaughter and I visited again when they were open and it was hard to choose from all the great flavor options the store offered that day. On my 2nd store visit and 4 Cinnamon rolls later, it was a nice surprise that Dave, the owner had recognized me. I would love to try all the varieties they offer, and am planning to share the experience of the great and friendly service with their exceptionally wonderful cinnamon rolls with friends. Haven't asked yet but am hoping they offer a gluten free cinnamon roll. A BIG Thank You to everyone at Ooey Gooey Cinnamon Rolls for your kindness...
Read moreLook, I can go on and on about what the other reviews are saying... the food and cinnamon rolls are absolutely phenomenal. However, I want to review the owner.
I learned on Facebook that this small establishment is closing, so I told my husband we had to visit before they close their doors. We walked in today around 9:30am. We were immediately greeted when we walked in by a gentleman with a soft, welcoming voice, "I'll be right with you kids." We placed our order, got us a couple rolls to go, and made small talk with him. He said he and his wife started out with selling these beautifully aromatic rolls out of the trunk of their car... WHAT?! How inspiring! They literally started from the bottom. He also went on to say they're just tired and decided to close. You know what, kudos to you and your wife!! I am so thankful and humbled that I got to meet him and heard a small snippet of their story.
I ordered a peanut butter and chocolate and microwaved it for 35 seconds (per his instructions), and it is probably the BEST cinnamon roll I have ever tasted.
I wish them nothing but the best and I really hope these two kind-hearted strangers truly enjoy...
Read moreThe cinnamon roll was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely. It was the start of a perfect fall day. My only issue was that I received my coffee order wrong. I had ordered a latte with oatmilk, but it was rang up as a latte and a separate order of coffee with oatmilk. I let them know the order was wrong, but they just gave me a separate order of oatmilk by itself. I meant that I wanted a latte made with oatmilk. I tried to ask if the latte was made with oatmilk, but it was so loud, the worker didn't hear me. I They were extremely crowded, it wasn't worth the hassle to have it remade anyway. I drank it anyway, but it was scalding hot, and took about an hour to cool down to a comfortable drinking temperature. Luckily, I don't have any dairy issues, oatmilk is just a preference, but this would be a big problem to someone with dairy issues, which is why I'm leaving a review, just to let you know to follow orders very closely in case someone orders something with a non-dairy milk, but receives it with dairy milk. Other than the coffee thing, the cinnamon...
